Peep show is way ahead of anything else out there, even Curb. I love Seinfeld, always will, but a couple newer sitcoms have passed it by IMO.

#1? I don't think so. Top 5? Definitely. No debate.

I can correlate vertically every situation in life to a Seinfeld episode.
That being said, the best ever discussion is of course debatable.
My list in no particular order -
Seinfeld
Cheers
Mash
Soap
Taxi
Honeymooners
The newer ones I am not familiar with as I watch almost no TV save for sports and certain news shows.

Yeah, I think it's at the top of my list. I still watch it almost everyday (TBS). I'd love to know how many times I've actually seen each episode.

I rewatch Seinfeld and rewatch Mash and rewatch Cheers.
And the older I get, the more I think it is Mash.
I don't know why.
Seinfeld just gets more hollow by the day and I loved it as a kid. But they predicted it - with that intent...to be about nothing. It's a cute idea but doesn't sustain resonance.
I guess it depends on what you think about life.

Maybe. Up for debate. There are a lot more that I have enjoyed...a lot more.
