Being built on Siegen near Canes

Seems like that area is becoming oversaturated with burger joints...

Mooyah, Riverside Patty, Burgersmith, Whataburger just to name a few

I cannot tell from their site, but are their burgers made fresh on site? Are they a frozen Patty joint?

We went to one in another state while on vacation last year. It's more of a fast-food place with a drive-thru rather than a sit-down restaurant, but I'm excited about having frozen custard in Baton Rouge since we don't have one here. (I love the flavor and richness of frozen custard.)

It reminds me a bit of Steak & Shake, with shoestring French fries and thin hamburgers. We only ate the custard though, so I can't vouch for the food. IIRC, they have basic vanilla or chocolate custard with a large variety of toppings. You can also get "concretes", which are cups of custard whipped with a topping mixed in, kind of like Sonic Blasts.

Freddy's is going to kill the competition. I think it's the best fast food burger out there. Their "concretes" are awesome too.

This was announced a long time ago. Have they started back on the building yet? It had been framed for 6 months and they stopped work on it. All the wood is water damaged now. It was still like this a few weeks ago I know. I just figured they ran out of money and realized it was an awful idea and location.

It's good for what it is. Significantly better than Whataburger but not quite as good as Mooyah.
