5A...then why are people questioning LSU offering Lindsey Scott? Look at his numbers in 5A which are off the chart.

Are there questions about Lindsey Scott other than his height?

Didn't Davenport transfer to Tulane?

Yes, and switched back to DL. Unless I'm mistaken, he was briefly on the Redskins practice roster.

We've missed that disruptive style of player inside, and we'll definitely need those types of players if Aranda moves more towards a 3-4

I cant wait to see Neal, Lawrence & Key coming after the QB while Beckwith picks which lane to rush from

Bennie Logan was in the same class as Davenport and went to Red River in Coushatta, they probably had barely enough kids to field a team. I think they are 1A. Same position, same position coach at LSU. I don't know about the laziness some are suggesting but Davenport was not nearly as aggressive a player as Logan.

No comparison. Davenport never did recover from his knee injury.

Have a friend who coached against Davenport.
Told me more than once he'd never play at LSU. Too soft. LSU was wasting a scholarship.

Apparently he knew what he was taking about.

I knew the same thing, he just physically imposed guys at Mansfield but he stood straight up once the ball was snapped. He didnt have a good body either, smaller chest and skinnier arms and legs, his weight was in his middle... Just look at Rashards body type, thick Chest and weight in his legs and butt, not his stomach so much, he will get stronger too.

My son blocked Davenport for 3 years. Chris made 1 tackle against him. My son was 6'4" and 175 lbs.

Meh. Cecil Collins and Ryan Perriloux DWARF those examples.

And history is a long time - Curly would have multiple HUGE disappointments in every class.
