I heard an interesting song on 90's radio yesterday, a song called "It's a Shame About Ray" by the Lemonheads. I really liked it, and it was the first time I ever heard it. Here's a link

Album by the same name is very good. They're kind of a forgotten 90's band.

That song is probably the one that got me listening, but
If I could Talk I'd Tell You has lasted longer for me.

It is; however, Evan Dando was a complete fricking tool, hence the forgetfulness regarding his band

Their reunion after Dando got cleaned up after years of heroin absue is pretty great, too. The self-titled album is one of the best reunion albums.

Big fan of the Lemonheads. they were gonna be the next big thing before they screwed it all up.

Into Your Arms is the quintessential Lemonheads song. Come on people!

Apparently Johnny Depp was a friend of the band as he appeared in the music video of "It's a Shame About Ray".

Good band. Like Baloo said, wasted potential.

Mrs. Robinson isn't on the original record...

It was a great record that built upon Lovey (which I love) and really made the band, basically an Evan Dando solo project... All of Ben Deily's influence on the band is gone by this record...

Juliana Hatfield on bass for this one, too

What a great, great album. I think all the highlights of the album have been mentioned but it reminds me of a first wave of rock albums in the 50's. Great riffs and melodies and songs that clock in around 3 minutes or less so you never lose attention.

That was the beauty of it... every song was catchy, direct and over... It was almost impossible not to just listen to the whole record at one time

Was the first cd I ever bought, back in 1992. Was actually listening to it last night when putting together a 90's playlist on Spotify. Record is incredible, every song is pretty great. Ahh nostalgia.

Luka was probably their best and it was a cover.

Dando dated bijou Phillips when she was like 14.
