Should have posted here first. The OT investors could've turn that $5 into seven figures overnight.

I bought $20 worth. First time I've ever played.

All that shows me is that the people of Louisiana are poorer than the folks of Pennsylvania, because they don't have the extra income to spend on lotto tickets.

So the odds of winning the jackpot stays the same but the probability of a PA player vs. LA player winning is different. The notion of "oh, they're not going to let someone from here win" is retarded.

What do you think Tigerdroppings is probably worth? $5 bucks and a pack of Kools?

Eta: I've also never bought a Powerball ticket (28 years old), if I buy one I should win right?

My department at work bought in. We've all agreed that we'd quit immediately if we win. It's actually funny to think how screwed the company would be.

I haven't even bought a ticket and I've been daydreaming all day about winning it.

Most of the people that I see buying lottery tickets are people who probably really can't afford them.

There's a couple of guys who aren't throwing in money. I've been saying that the 4 bucks I put in is just to make sure I don't kill myself in the off chance the department wins.

As dumb as it sounds, I'd probably still come to work if I won

I would likely quit eventually, but I don't have the attitude to call in and quit.

I'd probably give them a few weeks notice and try to tie up some loose ends

I'm a bitch. I'd do the same. Even if everyone else quit.

Oh, I'd definitely come back for a few weeks, just to see how many 7th graders I could make cry.

Same here. My boss plays weekly and is legitimately concerned that I the newbie will win.
