One of the more well rounded and genuine females I've ever dated was a teacher. She was fun and sexy to boot.
Who showed great judgment dating a felon.

You're a moron if you think being a teacher is easy. Particularly in today's schools.

Teachers
Don't know where I'd be without some of them

As a teacher, I would gladly work year round if you pay me my normal hourly rate for the extra 10 weeks I would work a year. If you did that you would truly end the low teacher salary argument.

I'd love to see any one of the idiots who always spurt out the 'teachers are lazy and teaching is easy' bullshite to have to perform the duties of a teacher for one month.
I speak from experience - I was an aerospace engineer for 33 years, a professional photographer for 15 years (10 overlapping) and a teacher for 12 years. If not for all the new red tape and administrative dictates involved, I'd still be teaching - until I died.
At its core, teaching is very rewarding and hard work is constant, but enjoyable.
At its worse, teaching is the most frustrating experience you can endure - especially if your livelihood depends on keeping the job.
Fortunately I had the luxury of saying "screw this shite' when the frustrations became more than I wished to deal with.

It's not really a teacher thread until chinesebandit makes this post

Everyone knows at least 1 teacher who bitch es about their job and post about "vacation" constantly. That 1 teacher represents the whole of the profession, even though every profession has an individual that all they do is bitch and moan.

I have been in three careers for more than 10 years each and teachers are no more prone to griping than any other profession. I worked at NASA in Houston, TX on all the manned space programs the nation has funded. There is not a more intelligent, dedicated, and responsible group of people in the world than were found there then - and the gripe sessions were momentous. It was glorious.
Yet when teachers do similar gripes, people outside the profession seem to jump on it like they had witnessed a child molestation. It must make them feel better about their own miserable lives to be able to dump on someone else all the time.
I have seen good engineers and bad engineers, good photographers and bad photographers, good teachers and bad teachers. In just about similar proportions.
The problem is in the state administration of the education process. That is where all the bullshite arises. And that is what drives good teachers from the field and leaves it more prone to accept cookie-cutter non-thinkers for the job.
In aerospace, the administration was coldly dedicated to getting a good product - in teaching, administration is solely dedicated to avoiding lawsuits.

I'm glad to go back to work, I ran out of weed two days ago and my students aren't responding to my texts.

A recent decision in the UK means all children in Britain will be tested on their timestable up to 12x12 before they leave primary school (aged 11)
Primary school teachers on my Facebook are up in arms
Pretty sure it's just because half of them will have to relearn it themselves

Actually say prayers for the daycare. This girl is not gonna be happy going back there after 2 weeks off
