Harris = 13/22 254yds 1 int. 1 td.. QBR 95.0 Coker =25/30 286yds 0 int 2td. QBR 83.0 don't see how my statement can be true but that's how they are showing the grades.????????

Not sure how this is figured but I would take Cokers coaching over Harris coaching any day.

my unicorn agrees with your fantastic assessment!!!... dude... pull your head out of your arse... texas tech was the 114th ranked passing defense nationally this year... harris' performance against the red raiders means absolutely nothing... he might as well have been playing against a junior high defense.

me too. these "ratings" of qb performance are a crock of poo poo just like the "ratings" for O and D. sure, it's easy to spot great performances and lousy performances but there is so much that goes on in a game that these shallow stats can't and don't measure.

I think Harris' performance was very good but against TT and Coker against an extremely stout MSU D.

Harris played Texas Tech. Coker played Michigan State. Should probably give up this whole sports thing if I need to explain how this is apples to oranges.

Harris played well in the second half, needs to work on his accuracy. Pretty much every qb was better from their first year starting to the next, except JJ. So history is on our side that Harris will be improved.

QBR rates a player's passing efficiency. Harris was slightly better than Coker in terms of passing efficiency is all it says, ya'll.

Exactly, it has no qualifier for how bad the defense is.

ESPN's QBR system is ridiculously stupid. Not a knock on Harris's game. It's just some BS they made up so they could have their own "cool" stat with a buzz word for Sportscenter. Just watch next time they talk about a qbs performance they can't go without saying it. Especially with nfl. Yet before you only heard about it when someone got the 158.3 or whatever the perfect score was.

Amazing how stats can look inflated when all you do is bubble screens and bombs to receivers who overmatch the cornerbacks.

Harris can't complete a ball between 10 and 50 yards.

Uh there isn't much evidence suggesting he can complete a ball less than 10 yards.

QBR also weights second half stats and 3rd down stats more important than the rest.

Reality check....Texas Tech has one of the worst defenses in division 1 football. Stevie Wonder would get a QB rating of at least 50 against them.

QBR is a garbage stat, not a fan of it.

I would like to say that I still think we'll be just fine with Harris, he's a sophomore and it was his first full season in the toughest division in the country.

I'm not ready to give up on him considering the above.

So Harris had the highest bowl QB rating while playing against the worst bowl defense. What does it really mean?
