Only 4.5 sacks in college.

6 already in his rookie year.

Poor coaching development in college, or different scheme in pros? What say y'all?

Definitely not coaching. Miles and Co. are the best of the best and LSU cannot get any better. If the players would just buy into the system, LSU could get to that next level.

Scheme. Chavis' bend, but "supposedly" don't break.

The coaching development of both Hunter and Ferguson has been questioned publicly by both of their NFL teams.

Pretty sure Brick sucked at his job while he was at LSU.

It's a mix of coaching / developing players and scheme.

There was an article this football season where the Vikings coaches said they viewed Hunter as a project because early on, he didn't have that many moves and struggled with technique. And they didn't understand how a guy his size with his athleticism struggled to get after the QB in college. Pretty much said he wasn't coached properly.

He's finally getting proper coaching and playing in a good scheme that allows him to use his freakish size, length, and athleticism and is thriving out there in the NFL. Didn't take long for him to figure it out either.

Gonna be a stud.

LSU is starting to waste defensive talent too. Can't let the offense have all the fun

Brick was a terrible defensive line coach. I would go out to practice and some ga would be running the defensive line drills. This year, it was coach o teaching and the ga holding the blocking pad.

Pretty much a hallmark of Les Miles' teams since he's been here, instead of putting players in the best position to succeed based on their skill set, they try and force feed them a system they're not comfortable in.

Also Haley didn't coach shite for technique obviously.

Neither.
people that understand football know he was a beast last year at lsu. He shut his side down against the run last year. he had 70 tackles. only 4 dlinemen in the entire country had more tackles than Hunter.
I swear lsu fans on here look for any reason to shite on our staff.

He has played in 2 more games this year. Thats a 1.5 sack difference. How is this a discussion topic?
