No, the real idiot is the thug POS Tamir Rice who was going around a park threatening people with a real looking gun.

Person who called it in didn't KNOW anything.

Quit making excuses for thugs. You think he'd just stop his thuggish behaviour?

It was unfortunate but far from a tragedy.

This kid wasn't going to cure cancer and in all likelihood those cops actions prevented an innocent citizen from being robbed and killed in the future.

You play the stupid game, you just might win the Grand Prize.

Again,

quote:

Called into 911 as someone pointing a GUN at people in the park. I guess if you don't tell someone you want to kill them you can just go around pointing a weapon at them with no recourse ? It's called agg. assault in LA, not sure what it's called in OH ?

thnks.. guess he didnt understand pointing a gun at people is a threat

quote:

It's 12 year old with a toy gun. He didn't threaten anyone.

So a 12 year old can walk around a park and point a weapon at people at random ? His actions are the threat, it doesn't have to be verbal to be a considered a threat.

Let's also not make this 12 year old out to be some toddler who is not responsible for his actions.

5'7" and 200 lbs with this pointed in your face.

You wouldn't feel threatened?

The report also raised questions about the actions of the city’s 911 dispatcher, who handled the emergency call first reporting a person in the park might’ve been brandishing a gun. The caller mentioned that the gunman was likely a juvenile and that the gun was “probably fake,” the report found.

So, the caller reported there was a juvenile, with a "probably fake" gun and "Might have" been brandishing it, how ever you want to define it.

No one was threatened, they knew it was a kid and the gun was probably fake.

Posted earlier but I'll leave it here for you;

You can't wait to get shot at to decide if it's an airsoft or paintball gun. The kid was an idiot and a 12 year old knows if you point or pull a weapon on a police officer you will be shot. Most kids know that by age 5.

Why? Because he was playing with a toy gun?

If the cops though he had a gun and was dangerous why did they pull right next to him? Oh, and he did not reach for the toy.

Pointing a weapon at persons is threatening and it's called aggravated assault.

they knew it was a kid

I can call an 17 year old a kid too. Rice was 5'7'' and 200 lbs, far from a pre-K kid on a playground with a rubber band gun.

and the gun was probably fake.

That was not relayed to the responding unit. Regardless, you can not pull a fake weapon on an officer and not expect to have them eliminate the perceived threat. They can't wait to see if the paintball is orange or white, or a bullet.

Watch the video. There seems to be a concrete area not too far from the gazebo.

That cop is a fricking idiot. It is what happens when you give a loser mother fricker a $35k a year job, a gun, and perceived power. A lot of our officers don't have enough sense to get out of the rain; those definitely don't need the amount of discretion that they're given.

Unfortunately, the dumbest of the dumb are the officers that has dealings with the public.

The report failed to mention anything about anyone pointing a gun at another person

The toy wasn't pulled on the officer.

He reached for waistband and exposed what was believed to be a handgun.

The stupid kid was aiming the gun at people. That isn't threatening you dumbfrick?
It was a kid who also killed multiple people at school across the U.S.
The kid knew what he was doing was wrong. He set a good example for future idiots not to follow. Problem is, this country is breeding more ignorant lazy asses than tax payers can keep up with.

Both were.

Afterward, the FBI agent said the cops claimed they didn't help Rice because they "Didn't know what to do."

Aiming a "gun" at people.

Why did he take the orange plastic piece off the gun? Because he wanted it to look real. You still want to take up for stupidity?

They responded to a call of a person pointing a gun at people. They pull up and he reaches for his waistband and exposes a toy gun. I can tell you in scenarios that if you don't respond an assailant can pull and fire in a half a second. The kid was a dumbass and died as a result of his actions. I'm not saying the officers did everything correctly and didn't have some fault, but the entire event was instigated by some punk kid who knew better. If he didn't he belonged in an asylum before he hurt himself or others.

Heresay. The caller claimed he was brandishing a gun.

Rice was killed by a cop who most likely should never have been there.

quote:

Two years ago, Loehmann struggled to complete his firearms qualification training, records show. “He could not follow simple directions, could not communicate clear thoughts nor recollections, and his handgun performance was dismal,” a 2012 memo from Jim Polak, deputy chief of the Independence Police Department, reads.

Why would the caller call unless they saw a gun?
