I can't think of what to get my 11 year old niece, who is nearly blind. She can see light, shapes, that's about it. Any suggestions?

Maybe a digital piano or another instrument? Not sure if she is into playing instruments or not but it could help initiate it.

Got my niece (around 11 y/o) a jewelry box that plays music when you open it. She's kept it for years.

iPod Touch has some features that make it accessible for the visually impaired. And an iTunes gift card to go with.

Do like in Mask when Rocky Dennis is showing the blind chick he's trying to nail what colors look like

These have been making a comeback over the last couple of years. My little brother had one when we were kids and we loved it. Lights, sounds...sounds like she might enjoy it.
