Apparently this lil guy was hit yesterday around the BASF plant in Geismer.

That's from a while back. Still, that thing was huge. There's plenty like that and bigger in the BASF herd.

ETA- never mind. Citica cleared that up.

You have to have them do a official report so you can attach proof you donated it. That way it is on the up and up.

I gotcha. I have seen the picture on the right but didn't realize it was the same deer. Thanks

Are the deer in the BASF compound hunted? When I lived down there I was told some employees can bow hunt.

No. None of those deer are hunted. Atleast not with the knowledge of BASF

I figured this much. There would be substantial liability issues if huntin was allowed.

I've always said it would be great to bring potential clients in to bow hunt them

TPWD in my county in Central Texas said he didn't care if it got hit by a vehicle and died, just make sure it has a tag on it. I worked for TxDOT and neither DPS, County SO, or city cops would ever get their hands dirty dragging a dead deer off the road and hiding it. If the buck had a big rack green jeans would cut the head off and ask could TxDOT dispose of the carcass.

pretty sure years ago some kids illegally hunted it and one of them was accidentally shot. I've heard you're not even allowed to take pictures of them inside the fences, but idk if that's true or not.

eta: holy cow Slick those are some fricking monsters
Here is one from a year or 2 ago.

That's more because you aren't supposed to take pics inside fences period. Plant policy.

Get caught and you're not gonna be working on site again.

I'm not one to poach deer or anything but I would be tempted to jump the fence if I lived near BASF. Hell I'd probably invest in some night vision too.
