Texas Tech lost its fourth coach since the end of the 2015 season when running backs coach and associate head coach Mike Jinks accepted the head coaching job at Bowling Green, the school announced via Twitter.

Texas Tech coach Kliff Kingsbury announced earlier that co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach Mike Smith, Kevin Curtis (cornerbacks) and Trey Haverty (outside linebackers) would not return and all three will not coach against LSU in the Advocare Texas Bowl Dec. 29.

I seriously do not think that LSU should even attempt a pass during this game.

Just line up both LF and Guice in the backfield and run read option with them all night.

That would make the score board mandatory reading during the game. There are certain posters on here whose heads may explode if that happened.

If I were tech i would come out 4 wide and bomb it the whole game. LSU would be screwed

LSU should have no trouble running on tech. Especially with everyone healthy after a month of rest

Hey Les, I see you didn't learn shite from November. Looking forward to seeing you and your offense leaving BR Nov 2016.

I have a lot more faith that LSU's secondary can stop Tech's passing game more times than Tech can stop LSU's running game

Have you seen Tech's run defense?

If LSU comes out 4 wide against Tech it will be the dumbest coaching decision ever.

but of course that would make tRant happy and that is all the counts, right?

Coaching carousel the last several years is a definite sign of the times. Losing assistants during bowl prep will hurt Texas Tech.

Tech is going to dink and dunk all night, up and down the field, and dirt stomp us to death. we are going to look like a bunch of chicken little's running around, literally, because football's are going to be falling out of the sky into Tech receivers' hands as they romp down the field.... We will, somehow, offensively, screw the pooch and make Tech's defense look like bama's....

Tech a lot
Tigers not so much

think Jenks used to be the head coach at Cibolo Steele high school outside of San Antonio, great coach, great recruiter too, one to keep an eye on in the future, Malzahn and Chad Morris were both at the high school level a few years ago and look at them now... just a thought

Depends on your definition of a few years. Malzahn has been a college coach since 2006, Morris since 2010.

They have moved up quicker than a lot of coaches but they both excelled in non HC positions and Malzahn at a lower tier HC position.
