Apparently UH doesn't want LSU fans at the BB game

In response to an inquiry I posted on the U of H athletics site asking if individual game tickets would be offered (as opposed to the current 3 game package) for the LSU game, this was the bulk of the response I received (name modified)
My name is J. B. and I work in the Athletic Department at the University of Houston. I wanted to shoot you a quick email describing why we will not be having single game sales for LSU. However you can obtain the tickets for LSU through our three game pack or by purchasing group tickets. We have done this for 2 reasons:
1- We have placed the LSU game to be only purchased in a 3 game pack to help discourage LSU fans from purchasing tickets. We want to create an environment for that game in which we have the majority of those attending being U of H fans. A large number of LSU fans called inquiring about tickets for this game before we heard anything from our fan base, which resulted in this policy being instituted.
2- Our student athletes have been working far too hard to be playing in front of as lowly attended crowds that they have the past couple of years. By the 3 pack policy in place it will help with attendance for 2 other games this year. The boys have been working extremely hard this year and their 5-0 record shows that they deserve the support of our fans for more than just one game this season.
If you would like to risk it you can attempt a walk up purchase on game day, but that will only be happening if there are seats still available.

I actually don't mind it and see where they're coming from. It's not like they said anything like, "to keep those rotten LSU fans away from our campus" etc.

This exact same email was posted a week and a half ago.

Les Miles has lost control of UH basketball ticket sales.

Well thats dumb.
I guess UH doesn't like making money.

Have no issue with them requiring 3 game purchase packs to get tickets to their higher profile games. Schools do this all over the country.

God forbid they want Cougar fans in the seats and try to take adv. of the Ben Simmons factor to sell more tickets right?

I don't see this as being Harry Tee's crusade worthy.

Tell them we will trade the tickets for Herman

They did the exact same thing the last time the Tigers came to Houston to play UH several years ago.

So they are basically saying they are being pissy because their own fans don't give a shite about their basketball???

I guarantee you can go on Stubhub and get those tickets pretty cheap if you really want to go.

It's the same exact email that I recieved and posted here a week ago...so they haven't changed their tune.

Here's the link to my earlier thread and my response to them...

We need to keep the pressure on Cougar High.

Why not take advantage of an opportunity to generate more revenue?

Lol. I didn't see this post, and assumed that the absurd response was off-the-cuff. I managed to get tickets at face in mid-court, 5th row. Better believe I'll be decked out in the P&G.
