Yep. Parker and Stone just told you south park is dead. They killed it. They won't be doing any more episodes that push the boundaries or shine a light on society. They'll just play it safe and the show will fart along. They're going out with a whimper. And yall are applauding them for giving up.

That was a sad and disappointing end to a shitty season.

I was wondering the whole season if they had an end game they were working towards, pretty evident they were going week to week and seeing where it takes them.

You just couldn't resist, could you?

On a side note, we can expect some of the storylines from this season to continue into next year's season with the election. It could be pretty epic to see how the Garrison / Jenner ticket handles it all.

I think you are an ad, do you sell Thrive or Advocare?

Watching the marathon leading up to the finale, I think the hardest I laughed was Randy only getting half a verse of his "Where'd My Town Go?" ballad in before Caitlin punched him in the face.

I wish instead of "you're expelled" right before killing Leslie that he had used the same tone of voice and said "put a fricking sock in it."

That's actually what I thought he was gonna say when he picked her up. It would've been hilarious.

I think I get the ending.

The entire season has been Matt and Trey fighting Political Correctness. I think their point at the end was that we are fricked and Political correctness is here to stay. We can't win again folks who are forcing political correctness on us and things will never be the same.

You might be right...it definitely would make sense. Especially with Stan ending it by saying "This is gonna be hard.."

I think it's saying that you can't just get rid of something in one season that has become so ingrained in the wider culture. The US left South Park behind. South Park has to catch up before they can knock it down.

They're also saying (imo) that the news is bought & paid for, and the forces behind it can divert most people to Foot Locker & TCBY before they do anything about it - or make sure we're always enraged over some dopey bullshite while the big con goes on.

The gun stuff was hilarious too, but kind of ambiguous. Honestly, I thought they outkicked the coverage with all the subplots and convoluted the ending, but I still enjoyed this season and will binge watch it again at some point.

The very last thing before the credits hit is Stan looking at Kyle after PCP's speech and going "this is going to be hard".

It's going to continue into next season.

Great episode. Great season.

Well, I immensely enjoyed this season, but this episode was pretty underwhelming compared to the rest. It wasn't bad, just kind of a let down. Oh well. I'm kinda glad PC principle is staying.
For some reason I read this in Jimmy's voice.

Yeah, I was really loving this episode right up until the end. It just kinda...ended. It seemed like everything was building up to something huge that didn't happen, like Matt and Trey had this great idea which they had to scrap for whatever reason at the last minute or they wrote themselves into a hole they didn't know how to write themselves out of.

I've tried writing this paragraph four times now, and I keep deleting what I was going to write.

Just finished my second watch of the episode, and I'm more confused now than I was before.

So... Ads are actually the good guys, because they fight PC, so we have to get rid of Whole Foods because it's part of PC, but PC can fight ads, so we have to be even more PC, and also get rid of ads and PC?

No. Ads are the bad guys who are taking over towns to try and raise the cost of living so that humans can't afford it anymore. Whole Foods is essential for this. While everybody hates PC, they teamed up with South Park to rid the world of ads.

It was EXACTLY like The Arrival. I recognized that immediately and then convinced myself that it had to be a coincidence because how many people would pick up on a reference to The Arrival?
