The problem with LSU (and college football)

How is this news to anybody here. College football has become a scam so the coaches, AD staffs, and corporations can benefit from sucking up 4+ hrs of ad time per game and millions of dollars into the pockets of individuals. Les Miles is the greatest perpetrator of this but the cheating to protect the financial interests of the select few is glaringly obvious, and has been for the past few years. I have been saying this for a while but nobody wanted to listen. Now we have indisputable evidence. Probably the greatest ponzi scheme currently going on.
Exhibit A: We all watched the UNC game last night. How can it be any more glaringly obvious at this point? The only way to fix the problem, on the local and national level, is to fire the people responsible. Number one, Les and his cabal of thugs need to be run out of town before they can do any more damage to this once great program. Number two, we need to move the SEC office out of Alabama- threaten to go indepdendent if they refuse. Third, the CFP needs to be expanded to 8 teams- threaten to move to another division if they refuse. It's time grab the bull by the horns and start playing hardball. Bluff as much as we need to. yes these are drastic measures but we won't see the change we need to unless we're willing to get an AD with a pair who can challenge the capitalistic monster that college football has become.

If you don't like the "scam" of college football, follow the lower divisions or don't watch at all.

Um money being pumped into college football over the years is the main reason people even give a shite about watching people play a game. I'd rather have it the way it is now than 20 years ago when I might have been able to see 2 games a year on tv. For the people that simply can't drive to 12 games s year, all this money has been awesome for the accessibility we now have as a result. If you want to do away with ads during the game, then you can also say goodbye to all our games being on tv

I don't think you know what "Ponzi scheme" means.

Please expound on this. How do you envision this conversation/negotiation would play out? Do you think LSU has any real bargaining power here?

Fantastic post. Corruption abounds. Ask Steve SHAW.

Disagree strenuously. I'd rather lose the TV, lose the money, and go back to a more reasonable time. I'll be at the home games regardless, so TV is irrelevant. For the away games, I'll kick in a dollar on paypal to watch somebody stream it with a gopro from the stands, without having to listen to Verne.
College sports are unsustainable at this level. It's just a question of when the bubble bursts. Hopefully LSU will get its facilities paid off before it does and not have a mountain of bond debt hanging over the university.

The first paragraph of the OP is identical to another post he made last night, so he could be trolling.
Or he's just drunk and thought this sounded better than it actually is.

Like I said, everyone doesn't have that option

What facilities? The athletic facilities that are paid for entirely by private donations?
