How would we stack up against Michigan?

Seems like a legitimate possibility now.

So with that said, could Fournette win us that game? Michigan is overall very inconsistent, which is understandable. They can go from contending with Michigan State to getting completely destroyed by Ohio State.

Just wondering what you all think. I want this matchup badly. Just another team we could have a winning record over, especially while Harbaugh is in his early stages before they become the powerhouse we know they'll soon be.

If Harris plays like he did vs Florida and the offensive line shows up like it did vs the Aggies-the Tigers should comfortably beat them.

This will come down to coaching. An area that LSU is lacking. As bad as I hate it I think Michigan wins this one. If I'm not mistaken they have never played

I would like to see this match-up but most bowl projections I've read does not project this. I've read: Taxslayer, Belk, Advocare, Liberty or Independence. Opponents: WV, Duke, Penn St (few others). No Michigan. Hope it happens though.

I'm guessing it might depend upon where we end up in the playoff standings after the round of conference championship games. Right now I think we are 21st (4th highest ranked SEC team) and Florida is 18th (3rd highest ranked SEC team). If the Gators get blown out by Bama I could see us jumping them, especially as we beat them head up.

I'm not sure how that plays into what bowl we go to but I'm thinking it might play a part.

I communicated with a Citrus Bowl rep last night. He indicated it was only about a 25% chance that we land there. They are pretty much tied to Florida (assuming they lose) unless they get absolutely embarrassed and fall way down in the rankings.

Wouldn't matter how we stacked up. We would be out coached anyways.

I know it will never happen and Bama will win by 3tds, but how great would it be for Florida to win.. would love to see the chaos.

Oh well time to stop dreaming.

It'll be Wisconsin in the Outback, or Northwestern in the Taxslayer Gator. Michigan is an unlikely opponent for the Tigers, they're too highly ranked.

Lucky Les most likely won't draw a Michgan type team. If there is a team with a decent record, down to their third team QB, thats Les' want.

Michigan is a good team. They got worn down by injuries at the end of the season, but if they get a few key players back, that game could be scary for us.

If we play our best, and Michigan plays their worst, should be a good game....otherwise outlook not so good

After the last 4 games and the last few years of bowl games, I would not be very confident.

Exactly.

Rudock is supposed to be back for the bowl game. Michigan has problems running the ball, but Rudock and the receivers really came on at the end of the season.

The defense definitely faded with the loss of LB Ojemudia in the middle of the season, then nose tackle Ryan Glasgow a few weeks later. That said, they still held some decent running teams in check like PSU and MSU.

Indiana was a foreshadowing of what would happen against OSU. Michigan is thin on D and gets gassed by good HUNH.
MGoBlog recap of Ohio State game.

Could Buga run wild? Sure. But, Michigan is set up to play a team like LSU. I think with Rudock that Michigan would win a close one. If he can't go, Michigan won't score a point.
