I may be forced to attend a protestant wedding in Tallulah and the SO and I are trying to make the trip at least slightly more worth it. Any can't miss stops?

Sounds like you have a shitty attitude going into the deal. Eat a Burger King in Natchez

I'd eat the fried chicken in Lorman.

You might be surprised. The ceremony likely won't last more than 15 minutes( the way God intended) and if the families are as many in the Delta, the party will last well into the night.
Old Lorman Store is known for chicken. Walnut Hills in Vicksburg is a treat ( sit at a round table and come hungry). Lunch at the Carriage House in Natchez is also very nice.
Roux 61 south of Natchez is pretty good (sort of like a redneck Sammy's).

Yea, Old Country Store is treat. I'll add Breauds in Natchez to Otis' recs and Rusty's in Vicksburg. Rusty's or Walnut Hills are both solid. But If I was trying the fastest route to Tallulah I wouldn't go to Vicksburg...I'd cut over on 15 to Clayton then shoot up 65. Food options won't be much though. And not sure whose wedding he attending in Talulah but it's apt to be a drunken throw down that will rival anything in coonassville. Protestant or not. The Delta ain't pine tree country...

I've never been to Rusty's, and I need to fix that. At the party, my bet is the farm boys scare him by the end of the night...

Rusty's is solid. Roux 61ish menu done well with a really good ribeye. And I've witnessed a few T-town nuptials.. None of which were void of oceans of Old Charter and debauchery...

Roux 61 in Natchez
Donut Shop in Natchez
Beechwood in Vicksburg
I'm a big fan of the Beechwood- whether it's their filet or even their hamburger, it is my favorite place to eat in Vicksburg.

The Dock-sho nuff good
Drove by this place on the way to Arkansas. It looked interesting and the food is "sho nuff good".
May be a little too far north for you.

Old school burgers and fine tamales. Their baking always smells great, too.

Assuming it's the same Roux 61 moving into the old Mulate's on Bluebonnet?

Definitely stop in Natchez, that's a good halfway point. Lots of good places there.
Or Club Illusions in Woodville

It won't. The husband's families are tea-toadler fanatic Baptists from Arkansas. The bride's family are basically the same. This will be a dry wedding. I doubt the reception will go longer than 2 hours.
Thabks for the suggestions, though! I'll be sure to check them out!

Biscuits and Blues in Natchez is good. The biscuits are phenomenal and it's worth going just for them.

That sucks. Leave early and take the wife to Mound for a great time.
