Wasn't he the offensive guru for Bobby Bowden when Florida st use to slaughter everyone?
Yes I know that Mark can get another head coach gig at a lesser school but I think we have the money to make him very happy. Especially since our higher ups wanted to spend 27 million to higher Jimbo, a coach that can't beat Paul Johnson.
Just saying, could you imagine Mark as OC and Pruitt as DC

I think there is a 1% chance he'd take the job...and I'm not sure he'd be a great hire anyway.

Having said that, the 1% is that you dangle the opportunity to impress here at LSU with Miles for a year or two...and the job could be there for the taking. I don't think Richt really needs that to land another HC job. But, he probably does need another successful stop to land a job the caliber of LSU.

I never liked Richt. I doubt he'd be an Oc at LSU. He has openly stated we have terrible fans.

It doesn't matter who LSU brings in as a OC. They get ate up in the black hole that is Les Miles.

I think UGA gave him some bullshite pretend job like "knighthood to the custodial Athletic Director " to keep his arse around because he was a nice man.

At the very least, he'd give us a hell of a recruiting plug into Georgia.

It is interesting this news came out the day after the Miles resurrection was announced.

Nice to know those in higher positions at Georgia care about seeing the program compete for SEC East crowns and not underachieving--many of us truly wonder if those in similar positions at LSU truly care about winning SEC West titles.

You don't take a step down from a top tier program if you don't need the money. Richt will take a TV gig, or go do religious work. He had considered stepping down and doing that before, anyway.

Tyson Helton the WKU coach.

He turned Brandon Doughty into a monster! Doughty went from 1 TD every 26.7 passes to 1 every 11.3 passes. He increased his yards per attempt by more than 1 yard (the difference between 7.6 and 8.8 is massive), and decrease his interception rate from 1 every 26.7 passes, to 1 every 55.5 passes.

They had a nearly 1600 yard 13 TD rusher that averaged close to 5.7 ypc last year in Leon Allen (who was hurt in the 2nd game of this year).

I know, blah blah why would he come here, blah blah, won't make a difference. Well it does. While Miles philosophy is still imprinted, you can see that every OC ran most of what they run at other places. We'll still have some I form, 2 TE, and the toss dive, but expect to see a lot more variety in the passing game if we go with a coach like Helton.
