Lol. He should've said, "now wait, media. I'm a bad guy" and not allowed them to talk nicely about him. Obviously

This is all Governor Edwards fault. I knew when he got elected this would happen.

Miles hasn't done anything to cause this mess. Alleva could have stepped forward and made it clear that Les was either staying or leaving. He didn't. It's all on him.

I totally agree with the OP. This lucky son of a bitch has Mack Browned LSU.

You know what makes me laugh? People who take credence in the opinion of the media. They don't want LSU to get rid of Miles and yet in the same breath they call him a buffoon. Herbie said his bad clock management is "part of his charm". He doesn't give a shite about LSU. He doesn't care that we fall short every year. They would rather we keep Miles around to show him "respect" while he takes the program down like Frank Beamer.
Don't worry about what they say. They have absolutely nothing invested in LSU nor do they care. You're better off trusting the people who have actual stock in LSU. Or people who actually want them to win.

Alleva's silence is deafening

He's like an employee who's been in the company for 20+ years and knows exactly where the line is to not get fired. We all know that guy.
It pisses me off that everybody is being told they need to look in the mirror.... except for Les Miles. He's just fine.

Les is not doing anything. Les didn't start this shite show don't even know that LSU started it.
This all may have been started by reporters and message boards.

This was orchestrated by a group of influential "boosters" who are nothing more than your average Tiger Rant poster. The only difference is that they have enough money to drive decisions. They had a meltdown after the Bama game and thought they were going to "revive" LSU football. They zeroed in on one guy (Fisher), lost all leverage, and now are beginning to look like asses if the latest reports are correct. They are the ones who ran to the media at every chance and further exacerbated the mess.
Still, if they don't like Les, then fire him. It's not like they HAVE to keep him just because Fisher turns them down. If they keep Les though, then he should squeeze LSU to meet whatever demands he has. The leverage seems to have swung in his favor.
This is looking like Lowder/Tuberville/Petrino 2.0. Only this time with Twitter. At minimum, some boosters need to be severely disassociated with LSU football. And shame on Alleva for being weak and letting the inmates run the asylum.
