How could Les possibly come back at this point?

Can you imagine a junior day camp this summer? How can he look any of them in the eye and tell them he will still be the coach by the time they are enrolling? This whole situation has created massive instability around Les that I don't think could be rolled back even if the parties involved wanted to.

At this point, I don't think he can.

Alleva comes out after the A&M game and says: "I told the media I wouldn't discuss this until after the season, and they ran erroneous rumors..."

Flip the script, hire an OC with a "2 year deal" (i.e. 1 year with club option for 2nd) and pretend nothing happened.

If Miles doesn't impress, everyone knows what'll happen. If Miles succeeds, so be it.

Yea he can by winning next year.... winning cures all... IF LSU wins 11 games next year people will be back singing his praises.

He could come out now and say it, but he's not. This tells the story.

and in the meantime recruiting takes a major hit b/c of the instability. And every first down the other team gets in 2016 comes with the wonder of how it impacts Les' job

He can come back to prove wrong to all the doubters that he still has the lesticles to win... if he's willing to change. That's all on him. Miles controls his own fate. You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain (yes I used the dark knight quote).

recruiting is not taking a "major" hit. LSU will still finish with a top 20 class. Yes that is lower than what fans would like but it isn't like LSU will fall in the abyss of recruiting like Kentucky.

going from top 1 or 2 to top 20 is a major hit no matter how you slice it

He can't come back and it doesn't look like it will be a smooth split.

LSU was no guarantee to finish 1 or 2 either no matter how you slice....

Still awhile away from signing day, LSU could have finished anywhere from 1-20 no matter what. We can look at it from either way. Alabama will finish with the #1 class again because it is their destiny so LSU had no shot at #1

I love Les don't get me wrong, but imo it's time to move on. It's been shown and proven that he cannot develop a QB for anything. And 5 straight years losing to Bama in a row is enough in my book, I hate Bama more than life itself lol. I feel we could get Jimbo or maybe even the TCU coach. I would like to see les give it one more shot, but I feel like it will be just like Steve spurrier, sort of a disappointment cause we didn't move forward sooner

CLM isn't coming back. I just hope the powers that be have some super coach lined up to take his place. But the way they have handled this doesn't exactly make me think they will handle the hiring of a new coach in a professional upscale way. I have zero confidence in them right now.

Oil Field is down, Many season ticket holders are considering whether to renew. If Miles returns for a one-year circus act, we loose even more recruits, and even more momentum.

Alleva MUST strike NOW and finish the deal. It has to be on to the next chapter in LSU football.

He can't. That's been the whole point of this PR disaster.

Even if they wanted him back, which after all of this I would never buy, it's virtually impossible at this point.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves. It's over.

And I love the guy and wanted him here for as long as he wanted to be. But it is over. No way he can return.
