I think the fans were giving a nice sendoff to Miles. I think Miles even thought he was coaching his last LSU game. His family did to and showed up to give their support. Then they announce that he will remain our head coach. I was shocked! This was handled terribly by the powers that be and I think they should all be fired.

Harris went down hill after the Alabama game and he threw that interception right after half time. Our QB's tighten up after a mistake because they know Miles will shut down the passing game. That keeps them uptight, unable to relax even in the games to come. Miles doesn't instill trust in his QB's and thats the problem in a nutshell. Coker of Alabama has thrown a lot of interceptions this year but he still can play with some confidence. It all in the coaching. I think Harris has talent, I think confidence in himself has been taken away by poor coaching
Danny Etling may be better than Harris but that doesn't mean he will be the QB next year. With CLM it doesn't matter if one is better than the other, once he gets one player in his head that seems to be who he sticks with no matter what talent is sitting on the side line.
Maybe they recruit QB's that don't fit the program or they don't develop the QBs so they have an excuse to run, run, run the ball. Personally I think other schools would have been able to get a lot more out of the QBs we've recruited.
Of course they will boo....no class left at LSU.
What has LSU admin/boosters done to stop this mess....nothing. They just sit back at let it keep rolling on bringing negative attention to LSU.
Maybe he decommited because he knows if he comes here and screws up he'll be boooood by the wonderful LSU fans.........
CLM isn't coming back. I just hope the powers that be have some super coach lined up to take his place. But the way they have handled this doesn't exactly make me think they will handle the hiring of a new coach in a professional upscale way. I have zero confidence in them right now.

LSU vs Alabama

I think if CLM would have beaten Alabama every single year and lost every other game LSU fans would not want gone. That's how hung up LSU fans are on Bama.

Now you can all start with your attacks.....but its true!

It doesn't matter what OC you hire if he doesn't have full control of the position and our OC doesn't. Miles has to let go of the reigns and let the OC do his job.
I like Miles but He has to let go of the old style football he wants to play. Times change...he has to change with it. We would not have won the last 2 NC without those 2 QB's. We won't win another one until we have a good QB at the helm.

So you all just think ESPN pulled "Miles is getting fired" out of thin air. The rumor didn't start at ESPN or any other media...it started at LSU.
Forget about Miles....go support the team.

LSU should be ashamed

of the the way they handled this whole Miles situation. Totally classless. Does Miles need to go, maybe so, but I think a school like LSU would show some professionalism. That being said, even though I've always defended Miles I think his inability to develop QB's is what hurts our program. I think Jarret Lee and now Harris would have been good QB's under another coach. Miles refuses to change his game plan, being stubborn to a fault. Now it's costing him his job. Show me any NFL team that wins without a good QB....show me a college team that wins consistantly without one. I think even if Miles gets to stay another year we will see the same ole game plan run, run, run. I think if he stayed and let OC do is his job he'd keep his job.
Never once thought we would lose. How do you know LSU didn't say to GA----We won't play offense the first half and we will still beat you dawgs.

"He actually has admitted in interviews this season that his stance has changed on the matter. People are allowed to change their opinions if they see a reason why they should."

Did he say is reason for changing his mind was because of his hatred for LSU and he really wants to see Bama beat us and he thinks they will?

Herbstreets stand in 2007

Posted by lovethosetigers on 12/5/11 at 11:17 am
Someone please explain to me Herbsteets change in opinion from 2007 to 2011. In 2007 he told Georgia they couldn't go to the BCSNC because they didn't win the SEC championship game. UGA was ranked #3 in the nation going into the final week of the regular season in 2007. The top 2 teams Missouri and WV lost. Wouldn't that put GA at #1? Don't get me wrong I'm glad we got to go and win it all. But why is it this year Alabama can go even though they didn't even go to the SEC Championship game. Sure wish I had a way to bring this to Herbstreets attention on national tv and let him answer on the air to the entire nation. Anyone know how to do this.
