If Miles is retained he will...

... Have to be given a contract extension for program to have any credibility moving forward. The only way he could hire replacement coaches is to prove he is secure in his own job. The damage has been done beyond repair at this point and he must be let go of contract extension is not an option.

LSU is getting a new Tiger?

I'm sure Bama would love Miles getting a extension

If miles will be retained Alleva would have made a public statement by now dismissing all these rumors.

Good point, this administration has let this get so out of hand. Even if we win sat, there is no confidence in miles anymore.

well, as of today he's sill the coach at LSU, as of today, Joe Alleva has yet to comment on the status of the head coaching position at LSU, so it's all speculation. either way, les isn't getting a contract extension.

Yes to keep him you have to redo his deal with an absurd buyout for AT LEAST 3 years.

frick off you idiot! Participate in the discussion or shut the frick up. I made a valid argument for what has happened and you can't string together a sentence. Go away arse clown!

That's why he won't be retained.

One of the better Bama posters on this site.
One of the few that you can actually have a discussion with. .

He won't be.
We have already gone through 4 OC's in his tenure.
With the leak the damage is done.
Its just time to move on.
Will always be grateful for his time here.

bullshite. LSU fans are the most irrational and ungrateful fans in the nation. They are more than likely appalled by the stupidity coming out of Baton Rouge.

the problem isn't the leak. the problem is LSU's last 3 performances.

Why do people keep saying this? Maybe I'm unaware, but as far as I know not a single credible LSU official has commented on Miles' job status.
This has all been concocted by 1 or 2 supposed "boosters", a bunch of anonymous message board posters, and the soap opera that ESPN has become.

I would disagree with this for none reason. IF rumors like this surface and there is nothing to it then the AD will call a press conference and throw his weight behind his coach not decline comment until the end of the season.

I disagree. AD's don't and shouldn't have random press conferences. He will have one when he has something to say.
Perhaps he is looking for a new coach? That doesn't mean he "leaked" anything. Everyone and their mother knew Miles was on the hot seat if he lost to Ole Miss. Nothing needed to be leaked.
If he comes out and defends Miles today, then goes on and fires him next week, then he really has egg on his face.
