said to retain ice for 5 days, people are comparing them to Yeti's. Looking to get a xtreme marine 70 as a gift for a friend. Anyone have one? thoughts?

coleman's have always been as good if not better than yeti's at holding ice. marketing is what yeti thrived on.

I have the Coleman. It's great. Not sure about 5 days but I rarely use an ice chest for more than a weekend

Best bang for your buck cooler IMO.
I don't go camping, hunting, or fishing for 6 days, so I don't need it to be cold for that long. I only need it to keep ice for 3-4 days max and it can easily do that.
One of the best parts is I can leave it outside or in the bed of the truck and not care if it gets stolen.

As an owner of multiple yetis, the Coleman is a great cooler. Get it.

Replace the hinges and you have yourself a great cooler. I own both YETI and this one. Honestly, I only buy YETI because I can and like the look of them. Plus, all the bitches love them.

I have 2. They are good ice chests. For the price, they are light years better than a Yeti, and they hold ice longer also

I've got one. It holds ice fairly well. I'm not sure about 5 days.
