That's because some of them, most notably Lester Miles, ARE mental midgets.

I would see him go to New Orleans before Indy. Word is Payton might be ready to get out of town. I don't think either is going to happen regardless

If someone says that going to the Colts organization isn't damn attractive, then they are smoking good shite. With that said, he gone.

With the amount of #1 classes he's assembled, he should never lose.

The man is nearing 70. He has a statue in front of BDS. Why in the actual frick would he go to India-fricking-napolis?

Only place he's failed is the NFL

But he ain't going back, so it's irrelevant.

Well now lets consider that Indy might want to pay him +$10mm/yr and give him part ownership of the franchise like Cleveland wanted to do......and maybe their oil baron's are willing to pay for Saban's bad real estate investments like Texas wanted to do.

The man has been at Bama close to ten years, and there have been all sorts of reasons why he would leave Bama.

I don't think he ever goes back.

Saban likes controlling every single detail of his program. You don't have that control over the program in a professional setting, and you don't have that kind of control over players.

There you go again Stevie, trying to use numbers in an argument when you know they confuse you every time.

A recruiting ranking is an opinion. Kind of like when someone like at you paints a picture, some like it some don't.

According to your statement, a five year rankings composite should be an indicator of how a team will finish. It's rarely within 10 points of where the dynamic rating shows.

Mariota is closer to top 5 QB than Luck.

Saban's said he realizes the Process just doesn't work in the NFL. And I think the jump in money from elite college coach to NFL coach wouldn't make much of a difference to him. All the guy does is coach and play golf.

Look, I wish the son-of-a-bitch would leave Alabama too. But he ain't going back to the NFL. I think he realized he made a mistake leaving LSU and now that he's got a great situation, he's not leaving it. Our only hope is that he gets too frustrated with the drooling morons in the fanbase and he just quits.

No sir, they did that all by themselves. Sabin doesn't get credit for that.

Saban retires at Alabama. All these threads are pointless.

Nick Saban to the Cleveland Browns. Coached for the Browns and spent a ton of time in NE Ohio. He is destined to restore the Cleveland Browns.
