Hmm. Let me guess, your friend gave you his side of the story? You then said "I know just the place to get a good legal opinion?" then posted it here....

This should be fun.

So you don't have kids. Got it.

Yes jackass, I have kids and went through a divorce.

And you know what we put the kids first and never once even so much as argued in front of them.

The only thing you got is you head up your arse.

I don't think I've ever seen a thread where you have had more upvotes than downvotes. The curse of rebeloke strikes again.

And the OP is complicit because he's telling us exactly how it's going to go down.

Good times. Good times indeed.

Divorce proceeding typically have distance provisions in place to prevent shite like this from happening.

Those provisions have huge loopholes in them. For instance, the typical provision requires notification of the non-custodial to be notified a certain period of time prior to a move. At that point, a court order may be used to prevent such a move. However, if the notification requirement is simply ignored and the custodial parent moves out of the jurisdiction of the court (out of state, for example), there is little that can be done.

Just more of the "bullshitiness" of divorce laws.

Had a close friend commit suicide after her husband spent a year setting her up for a surprise divorce and getting custody of the kids. Sweetest lady I ever met. Complete setup and the judge fell for it.

at least don't get a marriage license

sign a contract, spell it all out.

you can do it with just 2 witnesses or possibly a freeagent pastor too, but not 501c3 affiliated

under common law, the father would ALWAYS get the child,
now the laws are written to divide and break up the family...

Is your friend aware you are posting all his personal business on here? Does anyone know you post here and know what your screen name is? Could they figure out who you are talking about?

His wife took their daughter and has not let him have time with her at all. He has to drive 4.5 hrs to see her. She has only agreed to a couple of visits in three months. She is coming to get her things this weekend and she asked a mutual friend to watch the baby because she doesn't want him to see her. He is planning on picking her up from the friend and keeping her. The friend is secretly on his side and has been sending screenshots of txts with his wife. Is there a problem with his plan? Seems legit to me.

This kind of thing just happened.

How 18-year-old solved his OWN kidnapping while applying to college: Missing child found 13 years after being snatched by his father who changed their last name to 'Mangina'

quote:

A prosecutor says a child who had been missing from Alabama and turned up 13 years later in Cleveland, Ohio was found in part because of red flags raised when he tried to apply for college.
District Attorney Brandon Falls in Jefferson County, Alabama, told local news outlets that Julian Hernandez went to his school counselor for help when colleges kept having troubles matching his social security number to his name.
Falls says the counselor then ran a search and realized Hernandez was listed as missing by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
