Sometimes life throws you a curveball. He needed to change things up. But it 2seams that he lived a fast balls to wall life.

Put this in the ATL Thread, but this is so, so eerie.
I was reading comments on MLBTR about Carlos Quentin's comeback and someone mentioned that the Walden-Hanson trade didn't work for Dipoto and I thought about him really for the first time in a couple of years. Was reading some in depth articles about him as a prospect and just general wiki stuff on him this afternoon.
Probably spent 15 minutes this afternoon reading about his career. So weird.

I actually thought about him as well- how promising it looked with Hudson, Hanson, Jurjens and Medlen- and how basically all of them (other than Hudson) have disappeared. RIP

So, so sad. Lost his brother a couple years ago and he never seemed to be the same after that. Rest in peace, Tommy.

Type in "Brandon Bond" on Twitter and there is some interesting Reddit slander about this guy. Supposedly TH was a known coke head in the Atlanta area and this guy was a cleat chaser who gave all of these guys free tattoos/drugs and claimed to be their pal. Of course I'm not jumping the gun and claiming this as fact, but it does sound pretty credible. He was banned from Turner Field back in the day. Something about Jordan Schafer coked up in the clubhouse.
Eta: This Bond character has deleted 20 or so tweets that claimed he was with him when it happened, how Hanson never touched drugs nor did he even smoke. It will be interesting to see what comes of this story. RIP to Tommy, though. I enjoyed watching him pitch

The only pitcher to win Mvp of the AZ fall league

I know Craig very well.. I didn't play at Lee but I know many that did. That's how I got to know him.. I talked to him today and he didn't refute the coke problem I asked him.. We left it at that

Cocaine is probably a lot more prevalent than you'd think in the big leagues. I'm not saying they're all full blown addicts but I bet the majority of them hit a few key bumps after a night at the bar. Regarding Hanson, "organ failure" is just another word for heart attack, right?
Posted on 11/10/15 at 2:05 am to Dustin Johnson
from what I read he experienced multiple organ failure

Well Jordan Schafer is a type of guy you look at and just know he loves coke

I will wait on the final verdict. I discredit any of the rumors. All I'm saying it might have been a problem but everyone changes.

It was multiple organ failure but let's see on final result.
