It's been picked up by several broadcast guys that the key to slowing down Fournette is to get him moving sideways in the backfield. The idea that he is on the way to a gap, gets the ball, then turn him.

The toss dive eliminates that by getting the ball in his hands early.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the last few games the toss dive has been de-emphasized in favor of play action and zone read plays.... it's setting the stage for the return of the toss dive.

Miles is dumb like a fox... I'm expecting >50% of Fournette's touches to be toss dives.

LSU wins by 10+.

the key to fournette's success this year is not the toss dive. it's that he's patient enough to wait for blocks to develop, then choose the right path to take... the toss dive, as it's been said a million times, doesn't allow that much block development.

not that it can't be successful, but if we trust our Oline, it won't be the feature play.

counter right, run left, make one man miss, off to the races is his best right now (statistically)

The ability of Brandon Harris to handle the blitz will determine the outcome more than anything else.

Several of Fournette's long runs have come when opponents got him running sideways in the backfield. Then he ran around them for big gains. Pundits are idiots. That works on slow power backs.

They key to victory is to not run the TE/FB swing or flat.

Avoid that play and we are good to go.

JD Moore can bowl people over.

It still blows my mind that LB's will still jump outside like it is a normal toss play when we run the toss dive.

May play a big(ger) role, can run Harris out of it with that little spin move he does. I think they've been setting it up all year.

Will really mess with LB keys, for a while.
