how many teams are undefeated?

I just don't understand why our fans are trying to belittle bama...hell we play them this week...IF we lose what does that say about us? I like that everyone makes them out to be great and rank them in the top 4 with a loss...it will make our win look even better

Behind bama:
Baylor
Tcu
Oklahoma state
Memphis (beat ole miss)
Michigan state
Iowa
Toledo
Houston

I have no problem with bama being good and making the playoff. Just make them earn it like everyone else (which they might do). Why just give them top 4 by default year after year bc their name is Alabama?

Put all teams resumes on a desk with no team name on top and they won't be top 4 as of now. Simple as that

As mentioned, their front 7 is on a different level...We are on the road...BH has not seen this level of hostile environment...If he gets the protection he needs and keeps his composure, we win..

I think they would destroy every team on that list...except maybe Memphis

TCU & Baylor are a joke IMO they play nobody and have no defense.

You want to be full of hate. Fine. Hate on. You, Charles Hanagriff, Jacques Doucet, and all the other haters can rage out, but that's not my thing. I don't hate Alabama, and I like Nick Saban.

quote:

Because why?

It's mainly about their players. Jarran Reed, A'Shawn Robinson, Jonathan Allen, Reggie Ragland, Reuben Foster, Ryan Anderson, Denzel Devall, et al. Their front is big and physical, and they have depth to rotate. I saw these guys play strong last year vs. LSU, and they were often dominant in one-on-one matchups against LSU's best players. However, they do have areas where they can be attacked. I've tried to say that in many different ways many different times on this board. A front this big is going to be susceptible to certain individual matchups with guys who have top-level speed, quickness, moves, etc. In that regard, you could find a number of different fronts across the country just as good, or even better than Alabama's. But I don't see anyone who matches their strength/physicality. Going by the way you describe spread Os (And I wouldn't describe them the way you have. It's football strategy, and many teams that run a spread system will still knock you back and run the football at you.), you seem to maybe understand the importance of that. Maybe not.

Florida's secondary humiliates Bama's

No, I wouldn't say that, hater. The YPG, YPA, and Completion Percentage numbers are similar (Alabama is actually better in YPA and Completion Percentage). Also, Alabama leads the conference in INTs (tied with Ole Miss), INT Return Yards, and INTs Returned for TDs:

INTs, INT Return Yards, INT TDs

Alabama - 12, 375, 4

Florida - 11, 242, 2

LSU - 7, 33, 1

Same reason so many useful idiots are impressed with Obama - the MEDIA.

Only one way to shut those hacks up.

Do you think we should give a shite how good Condoleezza Rice thinks certain NFL teams are regardless of record? Or let the games speak for themselves?

Bc that's what is going on in college right now

Bama lost to ole miss and has no signature win that UF doesn't. He'll Memphis is undefeated and beat bama's loss. If they beat us then by all means make them top 4, this week: hell no

it's not 'by default' as you say. It's because most objective people who watch and know football have a lot of reasons to believe Bama is better than all those teams, even with one loss.

And if they lose 3 more they could still be "better". Who gives a shite, prove it on the field.

A 2 loss bama is likely more "talented" than an undefeated TCU. You would be ok with bama getting in and not TCU in that scenario?Should we just make it bama +3 teams as the playoff format until they end their streak of #1 recruiting classes?

I disagree with your assessment, Tigerman, but I guess that's a good comparison. Obama and Alabama do win a lot.

This is exactly the point. They seemed to gt the benefit of a while lot of assumed wins, , including by teams that have beaten teams they have fallen to.

Yeh well I also heard a bunch of dumbasses on TV saying if Ole Miss wins out that Memphis would be the SEC champ since they beat Ole Miss...that is idiotic...they played one sec team.

That win at UGA wasn't bad. Much better team when Bama played them.

Beat Florida and South Carolina, 2-0 in west, 3-0 out of conference.

I think the committee is correct in thinking that's a top 2 resume right now.

yea, that's it.

It couldn't be that, since 2008, Alabama is 91-12 with 3 National Championships and perennial top recruiting classes.

Nah, it's just a media conspiracy.

Well, even if you take out the A&M game, Alabama still has better numbers.

And to be fair, Deion Jones has 2 of LSU's INTs, 26 of the 33 Return Yards, and the only TD. All of Alabama's INTs were by DBs.

So other random people being idiots is an excuse for everyone to be an idiot (bama bias)?

And...? That's what we are using to justify bama being better than everyone? They have a win that "wasn't bad".
It has proven to not be anything special. And you know what was bad? Losing to ole miss

Florida and Memphis didn't have trouble with them. I don't give a shite what you think Alabama can/should/would do. This playoff selection committee should be about what you did do.

Bottom line this whole thing is a joke w bama being #4 at this time.
They very well may earn their place but if the playoffs started today there are many more deserving teams.

Bama is 1-1 vs current top 25. And People just assume they would beat all of the other teams behind them that have put a better product together in 2015. I bet you assumed they would beat ole miss

so just play in some crappy conference and go undefeated and the committee should let you in over a one loss team who plays in a tough conference like the SEC and have won multiple NC's in recent years.
