None of us should, really. The insiders' info is fun for shits and giggles, but it's rarely going to play out the way they swear it will.

I have a handful of contacts who are on the sidelines on Saturdays, and much of their info doesn't match up with the pay site stuff.

It's all in good fun, but not serious.

ETA: Forgot to mention that the rumored offer on the table is $4.3 mill with unlimited funds for assistants and recruiting.

So we might get all our targets with unlimited funds.

Herman- HC 4.5 million
Fuente- OC 3 million
Smart- DC 3 million

for the hell of it we'll probably got throw 2 million at Ogeron just to add another sharp recruiter.

We would win the playoffs in 2-3 years and then dominate for the remainder of their terms.

He's talking about the Columbia in Mizzou based on the tweets he's replying too. Highly doubt it's credible anyways.

Hmmm...seems he's tweeting similar info to Carolina as well.

Attention whore with no friends and a twitter acct, apparently.

Do not waste your time searching Twitter and finding trolls. No offers or counter offers will be going out for a couple of weeks yet.

I still think Kirby Smart will be the next head coach at South Carolina.

It isn't going to be the interim coach since he was told not to do the official visits stuff.

Herman will hold out for a bigger job as he proves himself with more time at Houston.

Fedora, IMO, is a smokescreen name.

Why did you waste your time even screen shotting that?

I agree that Smart is most likely the next HC, but I think that's because he's the guy Tanner has always wanted. His profile fits the program better than Herman.

He's from the Southeast, has deep connections, is close with quality SC coaches (Beamer, in particular), and, most importantly, is defensive-minded. USC's greatest success has always been based on rock-solid defenses- not prolific offenses. Plus, Smart can realistically take the gig immediately following the SEC Championship, which falls in line with USC's hiring timeline.

I've been pretty consistent that I don't think Herman is the next coach at USC. I think he's the primary smokescreen while the details are hammered out with Smart.

Just think about it. From day one Herman was thrown out there as the "#1" guy on the list. Why on earth would a guy that has not completed a full season as a head coach and has no ties to the region be the "#1" guy over other head coaches that have won conference titles, etc,?

Having Herman on the list is fine, but #1 from the first day until I am typing this post makes zero sense and has to be a clear smoke screen candidate.

I suspect, as I have stated in this thread, that Smart is the target and has been since the start. Wouldn't surprise me if they have had back channel talks through the agent about the staff he would try to put together and his plan for the football program.

There has been confirmation that USC has been in contact with Shane Beamer, Brad Lawing, and Ellis Johnson. Beamer and Smart are close friends, Lawing is an elite d-line coach, and Johnson knows SC recruiting better than anyone. It makes sense to me that Smart already knows who he is going to have on his staff, and at least one of those guys will be there.

Well with today's embarrassing loss, pretty sure Elliott's chances just went out the window. Thank god.

If yall want Smart you better lock him up in the next hour or so.

If UGA goes down tonight, Richt is out and Smart will be on the next plane to Athens after Bama finishes up the season.
