Any cheesehead natives that could recommend a hotel/area in Milwaukee? It seems more interesting to stay there than GB and I'm sure GB rooms are already booked anyway.

I apologize that this thread is not about Bama.

Thanks for any feedback.

If you are with your wife, go north to Door County .... Fish Creek is a nice get away. You could also do Appleton, not as far as the (drunk) ride back to Brew town.

my dad and I are staying at the same hotel. There is potential we will rent our own private plane and fly oursleves. Greatest planned trip we've ever had. I can't wait until next year!

Is that going to be your answer to every hotel question from now on? To crash with sluts?

I was just in Milwaukee for a wedding and stayed at the iron horse hotel. Really really cool and unique.

The Wisconsin Dells is the same distance from Green Bay. I highly recommend the Wilderness there.

Bingo. Door County is one of the best vacation areas in the Midwest and close to Green Bay. Plan to spend extra time there.

Milwaukee is a long drive from Green Bay. Stay somewhere closer.

Thanks to all for the input. Am going with the Mrs. so Door County appears to be the winner.

Seems like a legit plan for a young man, no?

Should we expect most things in Door County to be sold out? Any tips on specific areas to stay? Just google image searched it, I had no idea Wisconsin had that kind of scenery to offer.

I started calling and most rooms around Lambeau were already booked. The rooms that weren't booked are going for $350 a night. I found some rooms in Appleton about 30 minutes away for half that price.
