That's a pretty sketchy place to begin with. Definitely not where you would leave a child unattended.

This is a moot point at the moment. Asking why does not put the child in safety.
Not a moo point since he probably wouldn't have been abducted if his shitty parents didn't leave him in the car by himself.

Pretty much all amber alerts are one parent taking the child away from the other.

Whole story is odd, also odd they know the name of the car thief

If she was just trying to steal the car, she would've dumped the kid as soon as she noticed him back there. She was trying to steal the kid also.
Pretty freaky that the TV said he was in imminent danger

Did she know the kids were in there? Was her intent to steal the vehicle or the kids?

The robot voice said call Ruston police or dial "nine hundred eleven".

I thought so too. Is this something they always do? I don't remember seeing that before.

Cute too. Meth is a hell of a drug.
Hope they find that little boy safe.

Agreed. Obviously she isn't some random car-jacker.

Not really. If she has a connection to the kids and a motive, then the kids would probably be what she was after.

I asked the exact same question.
I mean I understand most abductions could be a dangerous situation.. but I don't recall them using that type of language. Usually it is the parent of the child or a family member it seems.
I am really interested to see how this goes.
I hope he is okay

She would've dumped the kids if she was just after the car. Those are two wildly different charges.
In one circumstance, you have her stealing a car without kids, and not many people care. In the other, she steals a car with a kid, gets felony kidnapping charges, and has a multiple state amber alert and manhunt issued on her

Judging by the time and her age/profile I'd assume:
1. DUI
2. Some minor drug offense/possession
3. Some domestic disturbance

one way i could see them having the identity is if she had checked into that motel before and they could identity her through cameras.. that would be pretty stupid though. but why have logic with such a person..
