How many yards did Cook have?

ETA: Only 82 yards.

Their team relies on cook to have 200 yards... If he doesn't get any yards they will lose the rest of their games

That's not a blown call at all. You can absolutely return a blocked kick.

On a blocked kick, if the ball does not cross the line of scrimmage, it can be advanced by either team, but if it does cross the line of scrimmage, only the defense can advance it. If the kicking team touches the ball on a kick that crosses the line of scrimmage then it is downed like a punt. The only way the kicking team can regain possession on a blocked kick that crosses the line of scrimmage is if the defense touches the ball first. That's why coaches usually say to stay away from a blocked kick that crosses the line of scrimmage.

I know that, but when time has expired you try and score the ball, especially because there are a bunch of lineman trying to tackle you. Worst case scenario would be a fumble, but even then FSU wouldn't get another shot at the field goal.

Hey rules experts, can someone please explain why the kicking team is not allowed to advance a muffed punt . This seems like the dumbest rule ever.

Oh, and lol @ f$u. frick them, they suck

Record for GT's first 6 opponents 37-4.

Has anyone played a tougher schedule to start the season?

I believe that is only the 5 losses plus FSU, played 2 cupcakes to start.

sure wish that record was 32-9, would still be pretty good

This is a great win and all but I don't know if I like using up our once every 20 years fluke in such a lousy year overall.

Thanks for the clarification. I always thought a blocked kick that went past the LOS was a dead ball, unless it was caught in mid-air.

It was a solid win for GT. If there was one team on our schedule I would have been fine losing to, it was GT. The loss is good for FSU--hopefully it'll light a fire under their arse.
