Would you rather sling it all over the field like Baylor and have a sub par defense, playing 52-45 type games?

or

Have a run game like LSU and not be able to throw with an above average defense and play 24-17 type games?

I'd like to hear some opinions and the reasoning behind it.

Despite what most people seem to believe, defense still wins championships.

There's a reason Oregon, Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, etc. haven't won national titles.

The latter. Good running game and D controls the tempo of the game.

Baylor is over rated. They know to stay relevant in the polls and be a media darling they have to score the way they do. Their defense is soft bruh

I pick winning. The only stat that matters to me at the end of the night.

This, because then we would stop those teams like Baylor.

Nothing worse than a swiss cheese defense.

overall, there's a lot of entainment value with the run-and-gun offenses. But like others have said, they don't produce champions.

Les Miles and LSU have the ingredients to win a championship, so that's what I prefer. Even if we only get there #every4years

We could have both. They choose not to.

LSU has a more sustainable game with their pro style offense and defense. They could most probable score 40-50 points in at least half of their games if they went spread, veer, or whatever. The problem with that is that most passing teams put stress on their defense being on the field for longer periods than teams who play to control the clock. A prime example this year will be aTm with Chavis. He will have more and more problems effectively running his defensive schemes unless Sumner slows down his offense.
