Haven't used credit cards in 4 years so $0. Best financial decision I ever made. You can have your reward points.

Hey if you are aware enough to know that you can't be responsible enough to handle credit cards, I applaud you. Credit card points can be very lucrative, but if you can't control your spending, then you're better off not even having that ability to overspend. You are obviously not alone in that battle.

This. If you don't have the discipline and self control, you're better off staying away from credit cards.
Those of us that that do will continue traveling around the world for free.

Limits total $42,500. Debt is currently $217 that will be paid at the end of the week. (Monthly spending.) Hovered around $11,000 in debt for a few years before getting my shite together.

On average, I spend a few grand per month or so, but always pay them off as I go... usually weekly... I never use cash/debit card, if I can use my CC.
I haven't had a balance carry over to the next month in ~9 years.

But understandable. It feels good to buy stuff, have new things etc. Makes the brain go crazy.
I've had to use a lot of restraint with getting things for the new house. I underestimated how much I would need to spend on landscaping, window treatments and just odd things for the house.
I've decided it doesn't need to be the perfect house right away. If it takes me another 2 years to get everything how I want it so be it, it's more than livable already.

Bought a house uptown new orleans last year so I know exactly how you feel

Yeah I definitely went through that "I'm tired of buying shite" for my first house. I said I wouldnt move again until I was comfortable enough financially to furnish and update at move in. I'm impatient and can't pass up good deals so I'd buy whether it was time to or not.

After many years, I can say zero. And will never have it again. Get points, pay monthly.

0. Paid off monthly. I don't think I have ever had Credit Card interest.

Not here to say anyone is right or wrong but that only using a debt card has created financial clarity in my life. It's a subconscious thing for me. I'll automatically spend more if I tell myself I'm getting points. I don't want an incentive to spend.
