He was really good saturday night including a possible game saving pass breakup in the end zone. He was the scapegoat for the secondary's problems in the first 5 games and got a lot of hate on here.

That pass breakup makes up for all that has happened.

I'm sorry, Dwayne Thomas. Will you go steady with me?

It was a good recovery play, but let's not lose our minds here. LSU's DBs allowed the WR to get behind them for a potential TD when it was 3rd and forever.

Dwayne,

I am sorry. I would note that your streak of being targeted the most in the passing game is still alive.

Dwayne Thomas was target more than any other DB – five times.

You are going to need to continue to stay in position. Teams obviously see you as the weak link. Also, on a jump ball, don't be so passive. Relying on punching a caught ball out is not a sound strategy as a defender.

He had a good game, but that doesn't erase his shortcomings in previous games. I hope he continues to play well, and I hope Jefferson shakes off this game against Florida.

I though Jefferson was doing pretty well this year until Saturday. Don't know what was going on with him but it looked like he was playing scared. Florida got to the point where they were taking advantage of him as a weak spot in the defense.

The shorter the field the better. He has his strengths for sure.

He can't keep up with fast recovers on deep routes.

My b Dwayne - originally thought your coverage was suspect but you saved us from overtime, which could've gotten ugly.

Thomas has been making plays all year. Simple folks only look for someone to blame when things go wrong, but don't recognize individual contributions when things go as planned.

Really? Who was bashing him? I mean, its tough to defend guys one-on-one if the QB has a lot of time to throw. Unless it was a short route with a missed tackle, it'd be hard to pinpoint whether it was Dwayne Thomas or the D-Line at fault. If the D-Line doesn't get any push, and the QB has a lot of time, then its tough for any defensive back. Dwayne had a great play on the ball when Callaway caught that ball in the endzone. It was a textbook pass break-up.

We have to be careful when criticizing a DB for a blown coverage. Many times the guy who appears to be at fault is actually trying to save the play because of someone else's missed assignment.

Not knowing what their assignments are, we don't know when they are suppose to be getting safety help or not.
