Do you care if someone door dings your vehicle?

I was listening to the radio this morning and the guy was talking about an incident he had over the weekend. He was still upset because he door dinged someone else's truck and they confronted him about it.
That threw me for a loop a bit. You damage someone else's property, but get upset because they confront you about it. I have a slight problem with this mentality. Maybe own up and take some responsibility, show some respect to other peoples property.

it depends, are they parked like an a-hole?

well, at this point it has so many "dings" i probably wouldn't notice.

If I see someone ding my door, yes I will confront them. Common courtesy 101, you should know how to open a fricking door without hitting the car next to you.
Though I don't care that much about my truck, so I would just be doing so to "educate" them.
The world is full of pussies nowadays, flashing your lights at someone is seen as "aggressive" now days, and the "maddest you ever got" thread has barely any fisticuffs talk in it.

Yeah, but my car is 10+ years old, so I'm certainly not going to make a big deal about it.
ETA: I be sure to look at their hands first though, not worth getting my arse kicked over.

Some rednecks were filling their ice chest up last weekend when I walked out of the market and they had let their buggy run into the vehicle I was in. I told them something about it and they acted like an arse so I got upset. Had they been nicer about it then it wouldn't have been a big deal because there was no damage done.

Hell yeah I care. I try and pay attention to where I'm parking and what type of cares I'm parking next to. I've hunted down people that have fricked with my car.

Depends on where and how big the ding. If it was my car dinged and if the person that did it apologized I would probably let it go.

Of course, who wouldn't?
I respect other people's property and expect the same.

If they make an attempt to open door carefully - probably not, if they swing it open then I would be annoyed. I make sure not to ding another car for both our sakes. Then again if my car is off the lot then probably really annoyed in either case

Yea I was in my work truck and there's not any damage someone can do with a door or buggy that is worse than the hell I have put it through. One of my idiot workers backed it into a utility trailer 5 days after I had bought it and dented the lower fender.
But that doesn't excuse someone about being an arse and fricking with other people's property.

Of all the things to get upset about in life, this hasn't to rank in the bottom ten percent. Who gives a shite?

Yes, but I would be more upset with myself for dinging someone else ride. I have to tell my kids from time to time to not sling open the door.

Yes I care and I will confront someone about it no doubt.

I'd prefer they didn't, but don't really care.
I'd probably care more if I had an OT balla vehicle.

To some people that would rank top three. Some people can be pricks on just about everything. I had a neighbor that was. I hope he died a miserable death old fricker.

In my old truck I wouldn't care, but in my new car I would definitely care. I'm so paranoid now that I have a new car I park in the furthest spots so as to avoid shite like this. Moat people don't give a shite about others.

You're Goddamn right I care. Whatever fricking careless piece of shite did it deserves a very angry outburst.
Posted on 10/15/15 at 11:38 am to Austin Cajun
Would I care? Yeah, I don't want my vehicle to get dinged up for no reason. Would I care enough to channel my inner OT and confront them? Nah, I got more important shite to worry about.
I think it's funny people say they will confront someone who door dings their car. What exactly do you plan on doing? Or does letting someone know you have a grievance make you feel better about the dent that is now in your car door?
