Getting them to pay to have it taken care of. I didn't spend the money on my car just to have some ding dong ding it.
And you can downvote all you want, I have no problem holding someone accountable for something they did to my property. I make damn sure to not ding other people's cars, even if they are on the line.

My vehicle is only a few months old, so right now, I care.
I've been careful about dinging other cars ever since a woman called me out in Abdalla's department store when I was 21. I didn't notice that I'd opened my car door carelessly and I was extremely embarrassed when she marched into the store and chewed me out, loudly and aggressively. It was a good lesson, though.

I was sitting in my car the other day and some foreign jack arse just pushes his door open and slams into my car. I got out and confronted him. I had only had my car for 6 months. His had dings and dents all in his. His argument was it didn't do any damage, I just said be mindful of other peoples property. You may not care about your car, bit I care about mine.
If there was damage not sure on the protocol. Obviously a lil scratch wouldn't warrant insurance. But I probably would have just kicked in his tail lights once he walked off.
if you set the door against the car to get out, no big deal, but if you just push the door open causing it to bang against the car, then yes I have an issue.

I kicked a few people's doors in and ripped their mirrors off in my younger days. I try to park next to nice cars or out in the boon docks now.

OK so if you are trying to sell your vehicle and you have one in great condition, you will get more money for it. if yours has lil dings and dents, less money. It is my property, don't frick with it.

Had a truck full of illegals ding my truck door. They didn't have insurance and were being dicks so I made them pay me $100 or I was going to call the cops on them. Once I mentioned the cops they were quick to oblige.
