My LG I posted about the other day is shot. Took it to be repaired and was told the LCD panel is shot and would cost more than a new TV to fix.

I'm interested in these new curved screens. Does anyone have one or have any positive or negative input on them?

TIA

Rip off. You can bend a regular one if you take your time and do it right.

I have the 55" curved Samsung and like it. Is it a very nice looking tv, great screen and has a really nice viewing angle. Is it a marketing gimmick? Probably. The new samsungs all have a great looking picture.

I used curved monitors at work, but wouldn't the curve in a TV diminish the viewing angle? I just don't see why anyone would want that if you have people in different spots in the room watching it.

Bought the Samsung 65" 4K curved last year. Set it up, watched a movie, and returned it the next day. The curve takes any light glare in the room and shoots it in a straight line all the way across the screen sort of like how satellite dishes reflect the signal to the middle. Don't waste your time if you want my opinion. Get a bigger flat screen for the same price.

Thought about it when I bought my last TV. From research it's supposed to give you the best view of all parts of the screen. Problem is it only does it from a single viewing location. It makes all the other locations worse. So if you have a man cave with like two lounge chair directly in front and you have a 60+" TV, it's cool. But for a living room where some of the views will be off to the side, it's worse than flat. Again, that's from what I read not experience.
