Fournettes run looked too easy

When I fist saw it yesterday I kind of thought it was just ok. Then as I re watched it I really noticed how he dipped that guy at the 17. That's a move that a lot of backs couldn't make and yet he makes it look SO easy that it's almost less impressive.
Basically he is such a beast that he is redefining my entire view of how running backs should be. I will be so depressed when he's gone because I'll never see this again at LSU.

That was a 10 or 15 yard run for a good Sec running back who would get tripped up or tackled by the safety or DB. LF housed it. That's the difference.

What I love about LF is that if a defender hesitates for a split second LF is either gone by him or ran him over. As defensive player trying to tackle LF you have to make a decision and commit to it.

That one move is what did it and it was all him...and then serious speed where even guys in the secondary with a decent angle can't catch him. Fournette, Guice and Williams - that is not a trio I would want to have to tackle as a D.
All we need is the passing game we had yesterday and we can beat anyone even with some lapses on D (of course, the special teams issues have to be corrected though or it's a negative on beating anyone).

Our ST really concerns me against A&M and that Kirk kid.

Not taking anything away from LF or the spectacular run, but the linebacker (#11 I think) was held BIG TIME.

I don't have to imagine being 230...I'm already there baby!
And I run a 4.3 30

It's not often you see one move fake two defenders out of a play, but he did just that.
What I also liked about that play was that the obvious hold was taking place so far down the field. On one hand it was stupid, on the other hand, I like the effort.

LF's ability to cut a full spend and not lose momentum is what separates him from the otehr top RBs. His top spemd is very good, but because he loses little to no momentum even DBs with the angle can rarely catch up.
As for Special Teams - maybe we should just kickoff out of bounds and not risk the giant momentum changing return.

Absolutely - we better learn to kick it out of the end zone.

Check out the Bama type hold Hawkins has as LF7 gets past the second level. Not taking anything away from LF7, kid is not human, but sometimes to do great things, you need a little luck ;)

He legit has a turbo mode. I remember the one play against Auburn where he ran over the DB, where he hit the hole and it looked like he hit fast forward. He covered 10 yards in a split second. He's incredible.

Exactly... Bama NEVER gets called for that crap. Glad one went our way.

Terrance McGee had some quote at last years media days if I remember correctly when talking about Fournette where he said if a defense makes a mistake with him (McGee) or Hilliard running then it would be a 20 yard gain he then said if a defense makes a mistake when Fournette is in there he is gone... Seeing it come true this year

Looks like a video game to him. That's the only way to break a long run on a game when the settings aren't on easy. One cut acceleration

Very impressive. A guy that size is supposed to get run down around the 5 yard line. He is NOT supposed to run away from corners and safeties.
It unfair. Lol. Complete specimen.

My first thought when he broke into the secondary was - he's gone. Then I saw the angle the two defenders had and thought he was maybe going to get at least tripped up. Then I saw that #1 on USCe was one of the guys chasing him. Most guys that wear #1 are one of the fastest guys on a team.
Then LF kicked it into the next gear and never let them close on him. Only the great ones can do that.
