That we avoided Vandy and Florida and got Arky while they sucked and A&M at home to start their dive? Does that get ignored?

You mean we sent A&M into a tailspin by demoralizing them with our thrilling walkoff win and beat down that took 2 of 3 from them, right?

ATM was a joke to begin with. Lost half their pitching to injury to start. They could hit. Which means if it was shut down, they sucked. LSU could shut them down. Our pitching was great.

But we go to Omaha and can't figure out how to handle our staff in a 3rd game.

Well, to tell you the truth, I wasn't drunk or even drinking, but I am now sober.

I think it was more our depth in the bullpen, and not having a solid 3rd starter. Both of these problems will get better this year. We didn't lose any significant arms last year, and we have more good guys coming in. Hitting is the question.

BTW HCB being HCB

It's just gonna be a down year for us guys. It doesn't matter what happened last year, last year is in the past and it's time to focus on the future. Pitching staff should be decent to solid but we are replacing just about everyone on the field plus a very hard SEC schedule, and yes scheduling does play a part in how well teams do.

also one of those MLB pitchers Nick Goody was in line for the loss in GM1 if not for Katz heroics.

i mean it sucks we lost to them. But lets face it, our lineup was really top heavy. Our 2nd leading HR guy had 4 dongs. Freshman Aaron Nola wasn't Aaron Nola yet, even tho he pitched well. Jacoby Jones and Hanover, guys that hit really well in 2011, regressed a ton in 2012. The Javy effect.

As for the tweet, i dont see how that is sobering. We lost what, 7 or 8 hitters to the draft? Who else is going to replace them?

I wouldn't get too concerned about baseball. I mean you go to the game and enjoy a nice spring evening or day and watch a baseball game and relax. Of course there's the K lady with her theatrics and the bird guy making bird noises that are irritating but baseball is different from football and basketball in that the best players most likely sign out of high school to go pro or are from other countries and just play minor league ball.

Sure I want LSU baseball to do well, but I don't see the point in getting excited about it or too worried about not "winning" enough. There is nothing else to do in Baton Rouge and there isn't a minor league team so just go to games.

Now if they only sold beer and used wooden bats and actually had the best players averrable then I would care.

The Box is about fun and enjoying the annoying clank of aluminum bats.

While he may be a good coach, the demeanor Mainieri displays rubs off on his players. They play tight while he's squirming on the steps of the dugout looking like he's going to hurl. Give me Virginia's coach any day of the week. He gets respects and goes over and beyond for his players, and they seem to play hard for him. Their players look like they're having fun, win or lose, on the big stage.

Didn't we already know this was going to be the case for this year?
