Michigan looks like a team you don't want to play again, while the 49ers have tanked. The QB is completely lost...

It blows my mind how 1 hire can make that big of an impact
The team became Crap under his watch, he just got out at the right time.

SF wouldn't be good if he were coaching this year.

Why?

Michigan State isn't exceptional at really anything. They played a close game at home against Oregon (who isn't a great team), and have looked mediocre at best against three not so great teams besides that.

Fangio was the unsung hero of those teams, all 4 years they were Top 5 defenses.

He will always bring an initial culture change and everyone will buy-in but in the long run he's not someone capable of sustained excellence and he'll always be hated in time. It only took the Niners (FO and players) 4 seasons filled largely with excellence to tune out.

Yet he's had a good defense both before and now apparently after Fangio. Hmmmm....

the last four years michigan has consistently recruited top 10 classes.

they are a senior led team

they should be winning games.

their record is where it should be considering the talent on the team.

I guess what I am saying is that before the season started I said 8 and many on here[mostly buckeye fans] said I was crazy.... Yes they very well could win 9-10 after the bowl.........

because you said that, I went back and watched the video again. I contend the throw was fine. Maybe not perfect, but "badly underthrown" is hyperbole.

I think they are going to have offensive problems in big games. The grinding style is starting to work, but we have yet to see if Rudock can make big throws downfield. Also, they don't really have any playmakers like Rich Rod's midget crew (Smith and Isaac have each busted one long run, I think). The defense looks great, though. Michigan just can't afford to get behind in games. Once they jumped BYU, they choked them out. I can't see them bullying OSU or MSU. Give it a couple of years for that. Also, like rocket said, keep in mind that Hoke didn't leave the cupboard empty. His recruiting was pretty good.

I was thinking today that it would make a lot of sense for him to go to Indianapolis if Pagano is fired after the season.

He will turn Michigan into USC under Carroll.

Michigan (like USC was) will be preseason ranked #1 for about 10 years like the Trojans.

And like USC, Michigan will never finish out of the Top 4 for an entire decade.

Why do you guys act like this wasn't the case? Things were spiraling out of control in Gainesville and Urban jumped ship. "Had health issues, needed to spend time with his family... Blah, blah, blah".

10 months later he was the head coach of Ohio St.
