Anybody new going from Div 2 to Fcs? Is Coastal still eligible this year?
Posted on 9/28/15 at 12:34 pm to JEAUXBLEAUX
Eligible for what? They are eligible for the playoffs and the move is next year.
The Big South is going to have to poach a D2 team or a Pioneer league team to retain playoff status after Coastal leaves.

The Sky has 4 teams in the top 16. 2 of the 3 SLC teams are barely ranked and McNeese wouldn't be undefeated if they played LSU. Your Sky hate is showing again. Try to make it less obvious.

McNeese will be at 5-0 heading into the SELU game next weekend in LC.
They're still looking decent and relatively healthy. I'm still on the fence because of the competition.

Coastal Carolina is a top team, but I'm not entirely impressed the way I have been with other top teams the last few years.

My Sky hate? It is the pollsters that do not believe in them either.

Ok. I will say I was real disappointed in Northern Arizona. They had 19 yards at halftime against Montana. They were much better in the 2nd half, but it was too much to overcome. Plus, UCLA exposed Arizona, and the Wildcats absolutely annihilated the Lumberjacks.

Did Jacksonville move up after its loss to auburn? If they did move up after losing a close game to a ranked FBS program, how often does something like that happen?

Yes they moved up after the Auburn game. Usually they will not punish a team for a FBS loss too harshly, it is rare they moved up though.
Depending on the school some get more favorable votes, such as a CAA East Coast based team.

Southeastern dropped a ton after losing to FBS Ohio last week, yet moved up in the bye week.

McNeese has given me hope, however Southeastern has owned them and has their number and that scares me
also mcneese has to play Sam and Southeastern and Southeastern doesnt play Sam
McNeese also travels to Abilene and they look good this year. so does Lamar

The two biggest games in the country this week are from the MVC
SDSU NDSU
UNI ILS
I think ILS should win but UNI is the only team in the country to beat 2 top 25's so far
NDSU SDSU should be fantastic and wished was shown nationally as it will be that high of a quality game.
Later on tomorrow or today I will look for articles to get some background on them from various papers.

Yeah, I would like to see that.
Griz @ UC Davis is the Sky's national game on Root this week.
Posted on 9/30/15 at 1:56 pm to Mr Personality
It's regional not a national game as the Root Pittsburgh and Root SW channels do not offer.

PSU having to play UND in the burbs because of a scheduling conflict with the Timbers.

UND and Portland State will play at 4:05 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium in Hillsboro, Ore., a suburb west of Portland.
Hillsboro Stadium, with a capacity of 7,000, hosts PSU soccer matches, as well as high school events throughout the year.
The football field is surrounded by baseball and softball fields, too. The facility, with artificial turf, has stadium seating on one side, with mobile bleachers elsewhere.
The Vikings typically play at Providence Park, but the school shares the stadium with the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer. A scheduling conflict resulted in the game being moved to Hillsboro.

Huge SLC game in Hammond, America tonight. Lamar coming in hot after hanging with Baylor for a half and beating SHSU last week. We've put up over 800 yards rushing on LU the past two years, and even without Juice available tonight, this team may be a better rushing attack than those two teams. LU has a very solid back, but playing two weak defenses may have inflated his hype some. Should be a great one, and can't wait to be in the Berry for some midweek football tonight. #lionup
