Didn't he pick State to beat us last week?

Maybe he's sticking with the formula.

I honestly cannot understand how someone could have watched Auburn's two games and LSU's one and come to this conclusion

That's just it, they don't watch the game. They, muck like political commentators, only parrot what they hear. very few break down films or go to games.

Brando has really not like LSU since he was not given the SID job years ago from his Channel 9 gig. He has let off a lot since his daughter went there and loved it.

He used to be very pro-LSU until this season. He said he would be shocked if we beat State, then still was trying to justify his pick.

Now he's picking Auburn as well. Maybe we can make a believer out of him by winning tomorrow.

But I agree, it sounds like he is fed up with Alleva and Miles ever since the McNeese game decision.

Brando has always been very pro LSU. However if anyone ever listened to his show on Sirius XM last year, about mid season he changed how he did his picks on air. No bullshite. He would sit down, select the team's he thought would win, then pick the other team. He is that bad at picking a winner. His pick percentage went up by over 100% when he started doing it that way. Lol.

Does LSU not hide the qb?

While that's true, people picking Auburn are just wishful thinking. They are using the excuse that Auburn always starts out slow and did in 2010 and 2013. Well there are a couple of things wrong with that.

1) Auburn didn't hit their offensive stride against real competition til the 6th and 7th games respectively in 2010 and 2013. This is game three.

2) Auburn at least looked decent in those first two games of both years, especially on offense. They also both played FBS teams (Newton had Miss St game 2) Auburn just looks bad on both offense and defense.

3) Cam Newton didn't look like crap his first couple of games. Marshall only looked like crap for the first game, but he was also transitioning from JUCO and was not much of a passer anyway. Jeremy Johnson never ran much at all in high school and is a pro style QB who doesn't compare to how dynamic the other two were. Newton threw one int (along with 5 TD passes) and Marshall threw none, in their first 2 games. Jeremy Johnson should have 7 or 8 and is lucky he only threw five.

No no, this is looking worse than originally thought, and this won't be another lucky season and freak athlete QB. I think they lose to LSU and Miss St beats them on a shootout the next week. They whoop up on the patsy, maybe, and then go into the bye at 3-2. They then play @ Kentucky and @ Arkansas, then a 3 game stretch vs Ole Miss, @ TAMU, and vs UGA. They'll likely be 7-4 heading into the game against Bama.

Brando certainly does not hate LSU.

He's from Shreveport and has an obvious LSU-bias.

He says calling the LSU-UF game in '95 was one of his favorite moments as a broadcaster.

Try again.

Well of course! If he doesn't pick LSU this is the only logical explanation.

No he doesn't. He knows his audience. He knows he can say one little thing about LSU that might not be totally positive and 600000000 people will freak out, link his articles, listen to/call into his show.

You've all created this monster.

Tim Brando is usually good. I don't agree with him today though

Yall are hating on Tim because he's not kissing LSU's arse.
His QB comment is on point. The rest of it....well he's gotta beef his ratings somehow.

Brando has picked us a lot in the past only to be wrong. Hell I thought he was right-on at the time.

"75 % of the fan base is fed up with the coaching staff"...Man i hate our fan base sometimes. I guess the best winning percentage in LSU football history by coaches who coached more than 1 season at LSU isn't good enough for some people.

Brando has really been channeling his inner Glenn as of late. I guess a smart strategy if he actually wants to stay relevant
