Right...this.
For most I'd guess they just see it as a cool design, and it is. But so is a Swastika. The difference is that most people recognize that for what it became, but many don't also assign that level of awfulness to the hammer and sickle...

More like at least 1986. It was the anti-establishment, anti-Reagan/Bush thing to do.

I know what it is after seeing people explain, I honestly skimmed the title and immediately thought of some trendy fishing brand. It's not normal to have threads complaining about historical references on shirts instead of yeti coolers or salt life stickers.

It was never cool in the first place. Just an attention getting ahole.

Why would anyone w/ a brain in their head wear a commie shirt?
I would look at someone like that and know they were clueless.

There's like 5 or 6 No Retreat No Surrenders. Avedon and Matthias Hues took over at the beginning of filming for NRNS 2 when Van Damme and the skinny kid backed out at the last minute. Van Damme backed out to do Bloodsport. The skinny kid was scared to film in Thailand. The sequels are awesome.

No idea what CCCP is
A C has an S sound and a P and R sound in Russian.
The former Soviet Union was abbreviated to CCCP (USSR) which stood for ???´? ????´????? ??????????´?????? ?????´???? and was pronounced as Sohyuz Sovetski Sosialisticheskikh Respublik and meant The Union of Soviet Socialist Republic.

I remember them being in style when I was in middle school around 1990 or so.

I saw a guy the other day in Bass Pro with an IBEW shirt with a sickle and hammer in the blue field of the American flag.

I'll never forget this idiot in my poli sci class wore a Mao t-shirt and our instructor had a special guest, a female friend of his who had immigrated from China. That dude shrunk like the liberal POS he was.
