There are plenty of songs that could pump the team up that aren't offensive and just plain terrible.

Shut your arse up they play the clean version. They play it for the players not for your dumb arse sitting at home complaining.

That's how I feel about Louisiana Saturday Night.

And I'm older than the average poster on this site.

That's not really saying much. Because Calling BR is extremely overrated.

I wouldn't mind hearing F.L.Y - Swag Surfin'. What do I know though, I'm just one of those meddling kids.

No, by all means lets add another hillbilly country and western song. That'll really fire up the team.

It's not like Louisiana is a bright beacon of honor and dignity amongst the south.
Outside of Louisiana, and even to some extent inside of Louisiana, LSU is synonymous with Louisiana.

If it helps, even in the slightest, at getting LSU a win, I'm for it.
And in that way, it certainly doesn't embarrass the state.

I was in Tiger Stadium for the first time in several years against Kentucky last year. and that song got TS as hyped as it could've possibly been in the midst of a disappointing season against a crappy team. It was certainly a lot more amped than I remember TS being when Florida came to town in 2003.

I'd be disappointed if they did away with it. But in this PC, pansy arse world, I wouldn't expect it hang around long.

I'm not arguing against the fact that it's a terrible, horrible, pathetic attempt at a "song."

I was at the game Saturday, and I'm pretty sure I heard them play "Go DJ" by Lil Wayne right before the kickoff.

I'm betting it was because Donte Jackson was one of the return men. If not, heck of a coincidence and still a fun song to get the team and crowd pumped up.
