A major research accomplishment: BREAKING: An LSU-led team has won an @NSF “Engines Grant.” It is the largest, most competitive grant ever awarded by the foundation.

This transformational $160 million grant will support Louisiana’s energy industry and workers.

Who did your vasectomy there?
New assistant coach is NOT TJ Bruce from Nevada. Bad tweet by Mike Stefansson, a TV anchor in Reno. Sorry, everyone!

"The combined commitments to LSU include $160 million in support of academics and $85 million in support of athletics."
My first game in Tiger Stadium was the 1996 season-opening thriller against Houston. My dad (not a big football fan) wanted to leave early when we were down, but optimistic me said I wanted to stay until the end, especially since it was my first game.

That was an awesome way to start my true Tiger fandom. I was a fan before, but that game really got my blood running Purple & Gold.

Absolutely. At this point I would love for him to get the job once Woodward retires. He's not only sharp, he really is a good guy.

100% chance Culotta follows in Ponamsky's footsteps and applies for/gets this job?

Assistant to the Head Coach - LSU Basketball

How many of you baws are planning to apply to be General Wade's right-hand man?

Wasn't Musselman committed to Oklahoma at one point? If so, what happened there? I would love to add Trinity and Maggie.

I've always felt the addition of Kai AND Trinity would give LSU a 1-2 punch in the all-around that we haven't seen since ACK and Susan Jackson were guaranteed 9.90+ in all four events in 2009, but obviously we have had plenty of phenomenal all-arounders since 09
I thought she was also high on UCLA and likewise the Bruins high on her? Did UCLA run out of scholarships for 2019?

Thanks for the great writeup, Tigerbait357!

Based on what I have seen on video combined with her results at both the regional and national meets, I have always considered Campbell to be in the mold of Jessie Jordan, which would be outstanding.

Obviously, I don't know if Reagan has the same cool-as-a-cucumber personality as Jessie Jordan had, but considering beam is Reagan's best event it would make sense that she does.

If Reagan has the same impact Jessie had as a freshman (consistent 9.85-9.875) on two or three events, LSU could still be contenders for the team title in 2018 despite OU, UF and UCLA all looking really strong. Plus, Utah only loses Rowe and gets Sabrina Schwab back from injury, so it will be another dogfight among the top 5-6 teams. (sorry to take away from the original intent of the thread).

Tigerbait357, I noticed you did not write anything about Caitlin Smith, so I'll add that her best events appear to be bars and beam. She has great lines on bars, and she has a few release moves from which to choose. She has potential as an all-arounder, but I'm excited that her best event(s) are different than what we normally sign (power gymnasts on vault and floor).
When you get to the 19 minute mark of Inside LSU Gym episode 6 from this season, you see Kate working on a 1 1/2. Julianna is working on it too about 35 seconds earlier in the show.

It would be great to see LSU have six 10.0 start value vaults. I can't imagine anyone else would next year. Either way, as long as they can stick it, I'm great with a Yurchenko full! :geauxtigers:
About an hour and 45 minutes. It flies by and is a lot of fun!
Fellow TD'ers, if you are in the Baton Rouge area, I encourage you to go to LSUtix.net and buy tickets to tonight's gymnastics meet against Alabama in the PMAC.

This is the final home meet of the season, and it is closing in on a sellout. It would be awesome if they could get the first sellout in gymnastics history tonight against Alabama.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for kids. The meet starts at 7:30 p.m.

Alright folks, if you are lucky enough to attend tomorrow's basketball game please remember to wear GOLD!

I was at the game Saturday, and I'm pretty sure I heard them play "Go DJ" by Lil Wayne right before the kickoff.

I'm betting it was because Donte Jackson was one of the return men. If not, heck of a coincidence and still a fun song to get the team and crowd pumped up.
That was great!  :rotflmao:
I know I'm late to the party, but CONGRATS TIGERS!
