Anyone ever used Camp Bow-wow to watch your pet while you're out of town?

Will be out of town next week and see that camp bow-wow does house sitting with your pet. Says they will come by and walk them, feed them and clean up after them.

Anyone used them? Thoughts? My biggest concern is having somebody I don't know coming in my home.

Also, if you've done it, what did it cost?

We just take our dogs to the local CBW. They really enjoy the exercise and company of many more dogs. Once we get home, they sleep for like two days.

Yea, they're great. Expensive, however your pet is completely worn out the time you come to pick him up and bring him back home.

Walk into your local vet, how many dogs do you hear barking because they are in their kennel all day?

Walk into Camp Bow Wow and listen to how many dogs you hear barking.

There's a big difference and it all comes down to interaction, socialization and exercise.

Tried to use them, but if your dog isn't spayed or neutered it ain't happening. I use petropolitan on drusilla. Nothing but good things to say about them and they let the dogs out more to play there I think. They also have varyious sizes of kennels to choose from. Have a few friends that use them as well.
You have to bring your dog for a "play date" so to speak though... A trial run to make sure they aren't an a-hole before they let them come.
It isn't often my dog seems tired (GSP) but he slept well after picking him up from a 3 day weekend...

You should check out Scout's Pet Care. Your dogs stay at their house and they have a huge yard for the dogs to play. Also not badly priced at all. Costs $40 for my chihuahua and mutt per day.

Why wouldn't you just leave your dog with them instead of having it sit alone?

Camp Bow Wow is expensive. You don't need to facetime with your dog while you're away. I'm sure there are cheaper, reliable options in Nawlens.

We use Camp Bowwow in Nashville all the time.

It's $40 a night, which is the same as our vet and they are awesome with our dog. My wife can watch him play with the other dogs on their webcam app too.

They have on-call vets, groomers, etc. too.

One caveat, all the dogs at our CBW have to go through an interview. They let ours play with 3 dogs with different temperaments for 1 hour each to make sure our dog wasn't violent/aggressive/territorial. He passed, but the lady said over half do not pass. They have to do this because there is so much demand and the dogs run around playing together all day, they aren't locked up like most boarders.

Used to board my dog there. It was super expensive and my dog got sick after being there a couple of times.

Now I board at a vet for half the price.

GF used them in the past. Too pricey for me. If I can't get anyone to check in on my boys, they stay at the vet for 1/4 the price.
