How nervous do you get during your team's football games?

I have gotten a lot better over the years (generally because I became numb to all the shitty play), but there was once a point when I could not eat during games because I was so nervous. I also once had a phase where I refused to watch my team kick the ball off because I was scared the other team was going to return it. My father used to change the channel during key third down plays when we were on defense.

Anyone here have pretty bad nervous habits while watching?

During a really big game i'll pace a lot and or talk with the people i'm with about what we should do given the down and distance.

I'm always at them, so not as nervous. I understand that it's a long game.

Very. I'm superstitious. I usually end up changing my outfit 3-4 times. Sometimes I turn the channel because I think if I stop watching they'll do better. I yell a lot, also. Sometimes I throw things…haven't done that in a while though..

as the years go by, not much at all.

LSU games still make the blood pump a little faster but i've learned to just sit back and watch saints and pro games from an analytical standpoint

It's just a game played by a bunch of kids. Once you realize that, it isn't that hard to deal with.

It used to be really bad for me, but it has gotten better over the years.

I don't really get too nervous during basketball games unless it is a playoff game or it is the 4th quarter.

I am a mess during soccer games, but I largely blame that on the team that I support.

I have to watch big LSU games alone or with a small crowd at home. My emotions swing too much.

I pace the floor uncontrollably, and the only time I sit down is during commercial breaks or halftime.

Also, another bad/stupid habit I have is to say "this is a CRUCIAL third down" on every fricking 3rd down.

I've had to Moneyball it and get on the treadmill to follow some games.

I tend not to sit during LSU games. It makes me uncomfortable, I need the freedom.

Outside of that I'm ok. Cowboys games, unless it's a huge game, I can chill and watch. I still jump up on big plays, and throw up tge X

I don't like being around people during games. They judge how worked up I get sometimes

Alcohol helps

I'm dating a new girl right now and I told her we have to watch fever pitch before the season starts so she'll somewhat understand. She says if football is what gets me the most worked up she's fine with it but I don't think she fully understands

College football, not that nervous. But I do stand up regardless of where I am or who is playing during a close game.

The saints however, are a different story. I used to watch them with friends but I couldn't stand all the talking during games so now I watch alone and I like it better. Gives me time and space to pace all over the house, rage and be a nervous wreck.
