Didnt need to google this. I was watching MNF with the old man. Also, the 10 men thing is almost always mentioned in classic highlights.

I was at the game in the press box. North Webster had a game plan and it was to keep DW from injury. He rushed 6 times for 41 yards- #28 rushed 18 times in comparison. On defense, Rayville's quarterback neutralized him by throwing 24 times 19 times for more than 20 yards. He finished with 324 yards passing (he also rushed for 112 yards). DW ran the 2nd half kick off for a 95 yard TD. He pulled away from everyone- that was really impressive. He would be a BIG get for LSU!

This is the same "game" I saw Fri night. Yeah, Rayville keyed on him a lot, hence our other RB got a lot of carries. The other RB is no slouch either. He had 25 TD's and >1000 yds rushing last yr. DW still "takes off" from too many plays to suit me, but I'll trust the coaching staff to deal w/ that. The other game plan was to show only our basic offense and defense, just like the prior week's scrimmage. The upcoming game Fri at Haynesville should really be a good one.

any news on when he will announce?

I don't claim to have any "inside" information, but I see him enjoying the recruiting possible until the very end and announcing on Signing Day or just prior.

This should be a game that shows what DW is all about. Haynesville is no joke on defense. It will be real interesting to see how he performs. I wish I could watch that game.

His last name was Naylor. He had a brother that's a WR. I can't spell his first name.

Just a jamboree.
Don't blame anyone for protecting the player for the full season.
Does anyone know Devin well enough to comment on his character? His work ethic?
Just curious.

Haynesville cannot have too much left in the tank. Hasn't the Golden Tornado won like two staight state championships? Should be an easy game for North Webster.

Good character and OK work ethic. Needs to improve both.

Haynesville has plenty left in the tank. The talent just keeps coming. They will be 1A state champs again and probably beat North Webster by 10.

Exactly, they have a few underclassmen already ranked very high by recruiting services. The previous statement was uneducated at best. Haynesville is back to their reloading, not rebuilding days

I am a Haynesville grad and former Golden Tor. I know the Franklin family well. The comment was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

I know HHS will be great again this year and abut 99% chance of being state champs again. I would be very surprised if North Webster pulls out a win.

Next time I will put some type of emoticon to let everyone know the comment is supposed to have a touch of sarcasm. I apologize for not making the humor more evident.

Haynesville is still solid on defense. They return about 7 on defense and 5 on offense. The defense looked in mid season form and the offense actually didn't look bad either. The coaches at Haynesville do a good job of subbing in the young guys every year when they get a comfortable lead. The "first year starters" usually have a ton of playing time when it's their time to step in.
