This (and the other comment..) is an interesting perspective...
So a car clearly inappropriately enters an intersection at which point their lite turns red leaving them stuck in the middle of said intersection..
So when backing up to correct their mistake, its ok to run over someone that was neither moving nor inappropriately positioned in the intersection...
hmmm... I am thinking driver of that red car just bought that guy a new bike...
Now.. as a motorcyclist myself.. the guy on the bike should have moved to the right just a bit and at that point all is well..
